I booked from goibibo where prices were bit higher than normal as it's peak season. Rooms are average, interior of the rooms are old. Food quality is good. Beach is just in walking distance. Inside hotel there is a small lawn where kids can play. Morning breakfast has limited options.
But the best part is, all the staffs are very cooperative and they will help you.

Bitter experience. Small room;door & window woods full of pests,inadequate mobile charging point.only one day room cleaning in 4 days stay,room service poor.Lastly Surprised for charging (Begging) Rs.150 /- for cleaning of one towel that was stained slightly by Curry. SHAME!!!!!
We booked around 9 rooms after checkin the all the beds had stains. Shocking there was a termite falling from the beds which was made of wood.on complaining they said reception was laughing and said that they had this issue.Housekeeping was pathetic our personal belonging were missing.bathroom lock was broken.The night person when we checked in early morning was the only professional guy whom we met.apart from the operation manager who is the sole responsible for the hotel doesnt know a bit about guest experience doesnot have a manner to speak to the lady.
We visited in Dec'17 and stay was excellent. the hotel services and staff is the best.Very well maintained property and worth to stay along with family. Free services include WIFI, breakfast . The small garden actually gives it a more scenic look.
We are regularly using Hotel Gajapati, Puri for our guest in budget range. Services is very good and courtesy of staff is upto the mark. Specifically Manager Mr. Bijender Pandey and Mr. Manas is very cooperative.
W stayed here in February 2018, along with our tour group Tirtha yatra. While it seems a decent hotel from outside and lots of foreigners stay here (may be due to shortage of budget hotels in Puri), it is located in a small lane and not accessible. It looks good from outside. But the rooms are very old, carry old furniture that have molds...We were first allotted room in the first floor, We were provided with dirty linens and very unclean room. Our tour manager complained and got the rooms in the second floor. This was not better either. Same old room,s smelly and extremely poor
