of course not one of Inia's top ten hotels, but charming nevertheless incl. nicely furnished rooms ans a well kept spacious lawn and garden. the beach however, open air toilet of the neighbouring fishing "village" disgusting as ever. notable also the famous Jaghannat temple in some 3 km distrance: for non-hindus strict of limits! from march on intolerable heat till the monsoon gets in ...

I stayed at Z hotel on two visits to Puri. I hardly needed the air conditioning as the rooms have high ceilings are very airy and spacious.

The beautiful lounges, dining space and living room were perfect for meeting and talking with my visitors.

The spacious roof terrace was perfect for enjoying the sea breeze in the morning and evening.

I had breakfast at the hotel on most days. I ate out for lunch as their kitchen staff was reluctant to prepare lunch and their offerings were very limited. But the restaurants on Chakratirtha Road took care of lunch.

Their staff was friendly and cooperative and their lush green garden added to the serenity of the place.

An ideal place for just chilling out, reading, writing, dreaming, enjoying the sea breeze and for simply unwinding and recharging one's batteries.

Still a great place to be, although the prices have risen enormously, due to the renovation. Still, you can check in a very cheap room with shared bathroom if available. Many common areas, do not forget to spend some time at the rooftop. Will be back.

This place is not to be missed! It's clean, well maintained with friendly, helpful staff. The garden is a haven from the chaos that is India, outside the gates. There are lovely social areas to sit and chat, with many dvds to watch. There is a restaurant, but one is not pressurised to use it. Some of the rooms have shared bathrooms, but they are clean and modern with hot water showers. The only thing I could wish for were some coils, as there were many mosquitoes, especially in the bathroom.
