Dont go to this hotel even if you get a free stay. I and my team had to come back to Pune , inhospitable conditions, HORRIBLE- NIGHTMARE to stay in this hotel. They dont even have bottled water, rooms stink, dirty, food is terrible. I dontthink they ever wash the linen.

Room Tip: no good rooms avaliable here.

What do i talk about. I had plans for adamo or byke as those were considered to be good options ( compared to others). But both were sold out and thus i opted for this piece of ****. The outside look of the hotel gave some hopes but that was that. Room door was jammed and so was the lock. Everytime i had to open it from outside or inside, i had to burn fats worth an hour full of workout. The bed was unhygienic and left scratches all over my skin.toilets were alright. The chairs in the room, the lounge, the glass tea tablea.... All had ample of dust over it. Food was pathetic. It was purely veg( cant blame them for that, i should have asked in advance) but taste was awful. We paid for room with all meals but trust me, we had all meals out side in local restaurants. Pool had mud inside. Looking at the hotel, i m sure when they built it, they had a purpose behind it. It surely have been one of the best back then. But the staff simply doesn't seem to care anymore. Avoid this n instead book the local cottages which offer you room only options at half the rates at around 2000.

The only hope for this hotel/resort to get better is to burn the whole place to the ground and start fresh.

1. There were small stones in the food

2. The hotel is not maintained at all

3. There was no light in the washroom even if there is electricity

4. If you check in at 11:00 am then forget about getting hot water for a bath

5. If you are 5 minutes late for lunch or dinner you don't get food

6. There's fungus in the rooms

This was the worst experience in my life. I booked 2 family rooms for 4 of us at a rate of Rs. 4600 per room. The pictures on the website made me think, it might be worth. But we were in for a hellish experience. We arrived at 11:30 A.M, half an hour after our scheduled arrival hoping that the rooms would be ready. However, we had to wait 45 minutes before they could gather a person to show us the rooms. We were taken to the far corner of the property to a decapitated building, which looked nothing short of a ghost house. Of the 2 rooms, they could open only one and that was more than enough. The floor was dusty and strewn with occassional small stones. The floor mat was dusty and not worthy of cleaning your foot on. It could only dirty them more. The sofa was torn. And the room smelt like it hadnt been opened for atleast 2 weeks (dampy, suffocating smell). Only the bed was clean. Just as we entered the cleaning crew followed. We were surprised that the room would be cleaned only after a guest moves in.I immediately asked for another room for which we had to wait for another half hour. This time they showed a duplex room, closer to the reception. This was no exception. The floor was dusty and u\you could see dry dust accumulated from careless sweeping. The sofas were torn. The lights were not working apparently because there was loose connection at the main switch of the room. The A/Cs were in bad shape. The bathroom was hell - Broken bathtub, broken buckets, leaking taps, dirty toilet. There were cigarrete butts in the balcony and wet waste in the dustbins. By now we had spent more than 1 and half hour just to get to a decent room. We had to call in the cleaning guys. Two of whom came, and left like lightening cleaning just the floors. They didnt give ear to our request of cleaning the bathrooms. We had to call the housekeeping again for the bathrooms. The ssecond crew came and left. The table tops and mirrors were still a mess. So we called the housekeeping a third time. This time a supervisor came and started shouting at us. We eventually reached a point were we had to enter into a scuffle. The guy swiped his hand on the table and said, "I dont see any dust. This is Matheran, and not Mumbai. There will be dust here". Finally a guy came with phenol and cleaned the whole room. But by now we had spent over 2 hours of precious sightseeing time and had a spoilt mood. The A/Cs worked for an hour and went off. The TV was not working. This went on. It was hell.

We stayed for two days during our DEC 2013 visit. Cost is on higher side. It has a central pool and set of rooms alongside pools and a set of room which are private and are present at the back end of the hotel lawns. Pool side rooms are not very private but it makes up with cottage at interior of the hotel compounds. These are a good set of room build with wooden furniture. Toilets with bathtub, but drainage system was poor. Overall a potential place but need a lot to do.

Hotel is 1.5 km from station and a good center place to start you journey for visiting different points. You may visit , One tree hill point, Big chowk point, Little chowk point, Alexander Point , which are very near to this place.

Food was good at the week end but not good o Monday, when we left.

In peak hour , my view is to book a hotel in advance , to avoid compromise with your choice.

Room Tip: Cottages at back side of the hotel are better than pool side room those who are looking for privacy.
