Let me tell you it's like resort but budgetary....
Pros
1. Location: It's very near to Matheran railway station
2. Tarrif :Rooms are clean and neat....we booked one big family room total 6 adults and one child....it costed us 5200 with meals in April peak season. ( A Breakfast, Lunch , Evening tea & Dinner)
3. Food: if you prefer vegetarian food, then it's best choice to have food here as it's tasty, hygienic and not spicy like home food...they serve buffet so it's convenient for everyone
4. Ambience: They have ample open space with Jhullas, carrom board, slides, your kids will love it and it gives a warm feeling of openness....
5. Staff: Manager Munnabhai is very cooperative and supervises everything...he also guided us in sightseeing....they have ample staff to cater to customer and polite one.
6. Rooms are big enough and bathroom is basic but clean.....
Interiors and paint are very basic don't expect 3 star facility in this price and its value for money ....
Cons:
Rooms are not AC and you may feel hot in summer on a Hill station
Just go for it
With very simple and spacious, a bit old school type, facilities and loads of space for kids or adults to unwind and relax, the hotel is highly recommended for all budget driven weekend getaway seekers, especially with the family. Good quality food, ie. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, available at the facility with an extra garnish of some entertainment program available.
Hardly few meters from the market place and Matheran station, a highly recommended location to spend some peaceful time
I have been to matheran on a trek recently, thought that I would get a good accommodation during my stay for a night after a heavy travel and trek day. However, it turned out to be a below average stay for which I was charged a good amount there was no provision for hot water, the food was also poor and if anything specific required the store person would say " I need to get it from the market". Never go by the words of any online contact person for this hotel.
It was very good experience, food was very good, rooms are clean and well maintained. location is also nearby all points, as well as market and railway station. staff was also cooperative. good place to stay with family
Preeti lodge is a peaceful place to be ...... I have been to this place many times with a friend .... swings are well placed and sitting under the old beautiful trees and listening to the whistle of toy train is an experience to remember ..
Though the hotel has basic rooms but the feel is very special ....
Matheran is my favorite place and Preeti lodge is my favorite hotel...
A must go place ....
