This is one of the most beautiful places I have stayed in! Dilip and Vidya are the perfect hosts, the surroundings are stunning, and the food is awesome!! While leaving, I told Vidya that coming to Kabbe was like visiting my mother's home--filled with comfort and warmth and love. I have no doubt that I will be visiting again. This is a place that settles down in a corner of your heart and beckons you again and again.

We had a very pleasant stay at Kabbe. It’s the last estate before you reach stunning nature, by walking 30 minutes you reach the hilltops where you get the view of Kerala’s and Karnataka's mountains. We spent a weekend at Kabbe and it was an amazing get-away from the city. Very nice hosts and great food! Good variation of Indian dishes and the best dosas we’ve eaten, and we’ve tried many. We also learned a lot about coffee cultivation and production. Really recommend it!
I cant overstate how wonderful this home-stay is. Kabbe's quaint immaculate garden-fringed cottages are nestled in a lush forested coffee plantation offering amazing hill views, with a steady gentle background score that mixes silence, the murmur of the Chelavara falls and birdsong. It's a fantastic place to unwind, disconnect, rejuvenate and reconnect. What makes it a perfect getaway is the exceptional family who host you. Dilip and Vidya are amazing people, who are warm, affable, accommodating and wonderfully witty. They will ply you with heartwarming local cuisine, regale you with tales of the Coorg way of life and take care of you like old friends come to stay. They offer guided walks of the plantation and can suggest great outings in the Coorg hills. Have the fireplace or the barbecue going in the evening, and you will have an evening to remember. Go for a hike up to Kabbe peak or to Chelavara falls for serene misty green vistas. Sink into the chairs on your verandah and do nothing. All in all, a perfect getaway. The drive from Bangalore takes about 7 to 8 hours, but the road is great. They have driver accommodation as well. Cottages have all the comforts of modern life, including hot water, a refrigerator, an electric kettle and plenty of charging points. The portico of the main house and the dining area has Wifi in case you need it. If going to Coorg with friends or family or just your partner, this home-stay cant be recommended enough.

I am so glad that we chose this place to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary. Located amidst the scenic Kabbe hills, this place is a perfect getaway from the Bangalore madness. Lush green, relaxed & comfortable to live in; Kabbe holidays proved to be a home away from home. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was amazing. The hosts Dileep Sir & Vidya Ma'am took such a good care of us that they felt like family by the time we left the place. Had some excellent long conversations with both of them. They serve the food so lovingly that we tended to overeat at every meal. Each meal had some local delicacies which were beyond yummy. I strongly recommend that you choose this as a place to stay while in Coorg. The hosts will make sure that you don't have to worry about anything.
