Great location. The hosts in Mr and Mrs Chengappa are very hospitable.
Good for nature lovers since there is good scope for treks.
The food is very good and each meal was sumptuous.
All in all, an amazing option in Coorg

First saw the place in 2005, first stayed there in 2010 and revisited in 2016 and on all occasions fell in love with this place afresh. Such is the instant connection that you will make with the Chengappas (Dilip and Vidya, property owners, rather nourishers) that you wont get a feeling of being hosted, but rather get this comfortable vibe of visiting your aunt and uncle in your native village.

What you can do here? With limited distractions from technology (no TV, sporadic network), the stay is all about you and nature - Look up in any direction, spot a hill and just start walking towards it and you will return feeling satisfied.

Stay? Clean, warm and cozy, cottages, But seriously, with so much waiting for you outside, you will use the rooms for nothing more than a deserving sleep at the end of a tiring day.

Food? You will end every meal mentally noting that you wont eat THAT much in the next meal, but only end up eating a lot more. Variety, palatability, authenticity - all are top notch.

With great conviction I have made a strong recommendation to countless colleagues and friends to stay here the next time they visit Coorg. You will return with mixed emotions of satisfaction and a desire to stay a little longer.

Traveled there last week 16-19 August. We were looking for a regular place that had good view and decent food. What we
found was an absolute splendor, cottages with scenic view over looking beautiful rain soaked coffee hills and distant waterfall, the clouds and mist play hide and seek all day, the air is so fresh that it probably detoxifies our city lungs.
To top it all host Dilip is an absolute gentleman, very helpful and someone who personified the true coorgi hospitality for us.
Rooms are very clean , hot water when ever you need. And the staff is just amazing , punctual and respectful.
Food is just out of the world, my wife and I loved every single meal( especially all the authentic coorgi preparation).
We had initially booked for 2 nights but ended up staying 3 nights.
Haven for hikers and trekkers , many hills to climb around, and the rains make it even more beautiful.
Thanks Dilip , we had a memorable holiday.

Well what can I say..Firstly Mr Dilip, a great host!! Secondly, the rooms are the best I have seen at any homestay. Clean, Fresh sheets, fresh towels, and the cottages to add to it have a lovely attic room with wooden stairs! The best of all was everywhere around the place all you hear is gushing water streams! A 30 minute trek takes you atop a mountain from where all you can see is rolling hills of the western ghats!! The food is great, tasty and sumptuous! Will definitely visit and keep visiting!
