The rooms are great with fantastic stone and wood work (locally called kaatkuni). The food is great. The mattress is super comfortable, the linen is crisp, the towels provided are plush and the bathrooms are one of the best we have experienced in all our travel.

This resort is located high up in the mountain (fairly good road access) 35 kms short of manali in a very quiet and peaceful area with beautiful mountain views and the beas flowing way below.

We would recommend guests have a vehicle at thr disposal to access nearby places.we did not want to stay in crowded manali so we choose this hotel and visited rohtang, manali and other places of interest in a day trip from himalayan kothi. That worked out great for us as after a busy day you come back to peace and quiet and enjoy a drink in the lawns of the property.

It was our first trip to these parts so we went sightseeing etc but am sure on our next trip am sure we will stay put for about 3 nights here and take in the hill life.

The owner rajiv is a welcoming host and his staff are very efficient.all in all a great experience.

The hotel is on the roadside of a small road which goes up from Kais village. Though the property is small, but it has been done up really well and maintained as such. The property has just a handful of rooms with a open restaurant. The food is good (though not excellent), especially the breakfast could do with some improvement. There is a small fruit orchard just above the property & a badminton court on the property apart from green lawns. This could be a good base if you want to take day trips to Kullu or Naggar or even Manali.
