We visited Dainkund Peak on a sunny day by Cab.The cab goes upto a certain height after which you have to climb the mountain . There was lot of snow and it was very cold and windy. There is a temple at the top but we did not go up to the top
beautiful place to visit. all snow cladded mountain around and pine tree and the trip is full of excitement
This place is simply mesmerizing. We loved our trek and the time spent was so worth it. Beautiful snow clad mountains and a breathtaking view. A definite must see
This is supposed to be the highest point of Dalhousie. A very very beautiful place with brilliant view. Must visit for nature lovers!
There is a around 1.5Km trek which is not very tough but it could be difficult for children and senior citizens. You would need around 1.5-2hours to visit this place. The best part is that the trek is through lovely white daisies and at any point of time you could wait and rest and enjoy the nature (you need not necessarily go till the top). It is supposed to be closed post November due to snow fall..
We visited Dainkund peak but could not complete the trek as it was snow covered and due to melting snow, we felt it was dangerous.
There are some guys standing outside the main entrance renting out gum boots. It is advisable if you have trekking boots for Dainkund otherwise they charge Rs 100 per pair.
Splendid Himachal at its best. Great view . Visited in End February but still managed to catch up the snow . Found some sleet rain in between. Walking over the ice is somewhat tricky. But you can manage . Would find great view of por pinjal range.
