I liked the place for the fact that it is conveniently located. The rooms are small but if you are looking to just crash at night in a clean and comfortable accommodation, this place is recommended. One definite plus is the food : good and reasonable. There was a notice that Is stuck in all the room: no females guest allowed in the room and no visitors allowed in the room after 10pm. I found this almost insulting and inconvenient as a guest.

I will always prefer hotel with good restaurants; bar included with non vegetarian menu. Service is good and drinks are available in room service. Prices are decent and food is good. Food tastes nice.
Rooms, it depends on type of room you book. expect smaller rooms and as we move towards upper range rooms get spacier. Overall decent for business stay.

Right in the middle of the city, although slightly tucked away from the main street. Rooms could be better....room service also be better....reception staff need to be informative....food was quite good. An ok choice.

Rains Inn's location is very convenient being very close to the main market. The stay was very comfortable. The food quality is really very good. The manager was helpful in refunding Rs 800/- charged to me promptly.
Strongly recommend this hotel if anybody want to stay in Paltan Bazaar area.
We stayed in a delux room from 10 to 12 March 2018 on the 4th floor. From the website photos we thought it had a garden & open sit-out but there was no open space at all.
The room was spacious and well appointed but furniture was not correctly placed. The windows were large and room was brightly lit. It had a view of the roof tops of adjoining & across houses. Located in a narrow street but a convenient location not far from the GS Road & Palton baazar. The room was comfortable with a balcony. This balcony we did not step into because of mosquitos and bird droppings. The bathroom was decent sized. Only problem the shower was between the raised tub & WC. The whole bathroom got completely wet and there was no way we could dry it. There clean towels & napkins but no bathmat. On the ground floor is the restaurant. The complimentary breakfast is okay but the quality of food otherwise is poor. The staff were helpful both in the hotel and the restaurant. For a trade related trip it is a good place to stay, but has parking only for 4/5 cars. Rains Inn is a place with no frills but very decent accommodation.
