Hotel is clean and the staff is friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Would like to point out in particular Mary at the front desk and Shanna in dining for their help in making our stay delightful. The evening reception was very good. The breakfast needs some revamping with the quality of the food and selection.

I booked this hotel because the suite was large enough for my family of 7 and close to COSI. There was a king bedroom, a 2-queen bedroom and a common area in between with living room and small kitchen area. So that was nice.

The pool was FREEZING cold. Many guests were complaining about it. When I told the manager all she said was "well its on 70 so...", Clearly was not 70 degrees and she didn't care. The hot tub in the pics is no longer there, nor is the balcony.

The breakfast goes until 9am and after that there is no coffee stand or anything like that. I did find that the coffee but I had to go into a dark, closed breakfast area to get it and it was luke warm. The breakfast itself was pretty dismal. Cereal and waffle maker were the best. The eggs were like square egg patties and the sausage was gross (and I'm a meat guy). They did have yogurt and breads but as far as a hot breakfast goes, it's lacking. They had one lady running the breakfast and she was working hard but just not enough man power for the 20 guests that were down there and they kept running out of stuff.

The rooms were remodeled nicely, nothing fancy but nice. The bath tubs are older but the counters and floor are new. The furniture is new. Pretty clean overall but not spotless. We cleaned and sanitized real quick before letting the kids play on the floor. We did leave a note and a small tip for the housekeeping and she took care of us. She did a great job and put the kids stuffed animals on their beds which was cute (3/28/18).

Only bad thing I can say about the rooms is the WINDOWS ARE NOT SAFE AT ALL!!! They open enough for a child to fit through and there are no screens or anything! Besides the safety factor, when you have 3 kids in diapers you need to crack a window every now and then, and bugs got in. One of the windows was broken and when I unlocked it, the entire sash (window pane) came out!. Totally not safe!

We called for a crib late on 3/27 and the lady said "there are none in my holding area so they must be all out". So based on that answer she obviously put in minimal effort. "must" implies she didn't really know. So that was rude.

Late on 3/28 I went to the front desk for a corkscrew and she said "the bartender left an hour ago". I said "most hotels will have something behind the front desk for emergencies" (like when all 5 kids are sleeping and your wife is still awake and you have a bottle of wine) and she was like "yeah maybe we should"... How about you walk over to the closed bar area and help a guest out?? So I went to the gas station and got one (in my pajama pants!).
Pros:
Housekeeping staff
Room Size
Proximity to Cosi/downtown
Beds
TV's
Affordable

Cons:
Front desk/management staff
short-staffed
Breakfast
No all-day coffee stand
Cold Pool
WiFi was weak in our room
Windows in rooms not safe

Itcould be much nicer with some minor improvements.

We only stayed one night here but the experience was perfect. We were greeted by the hotel manager when we walked in, they let us have an early check-in as well. Everyone was amazing, highly recommend

Swimming pool very cloudy- couldn't let the kids swim. Smoke in the kitchen set of smoke alarms and chaos ensued when everyone was evacuating their rooms. Staff didn't know how to turn off alarms or notify guests that there was no threat. No breakfast for my kids -disappointed. Not really worth the fly & go money we paid and was nervous about leaving car with no signage or info given to staff.

Toilet didn’t work and staff did nothing about it. I arrived late at night and the next morning discovered the bathroom toilet didn’t work. The shower curtain wasn’t right and water leaked all over the floor. The complimentary breakfast wasn’t great. Fruit was watery and looked like a bunch of canned fruit thrown into a bowl. The eggs appeared to be not freshly made either. I paid a lot of money for a room without a working toilet and staff that didn’t do anything about it. Would not stay here again.
