Nice outdoor ambience overlooking vines outside on a warm day, friendly service, lovely fish pie, fine for a low key catch up with friends and family friendly. Not too crowded as is off the main Port Elliot tourist drag. Own wines on offer are quite OK. Small menu but good food from local chef. Would visit again.

Campbell Haig has two Port Elliot outlets, No 58 and Thunderbird in The Strand. He also runs Thunderbird Wines sold cellar door style in 58. Campbell is now a committed local businessman having worked in tourism and corporate areas. He and his wife restored a local estate to come to the south coast.

You'll need to turn left just before the big hardware store on the main road from Victor to Port Elliot and then make a right, or turn left on Waterport Rd after going through Pt Elliot. 58 is not on the main drag. The cafe sells tasting plates and a small number of other dishes. The plate was excellent. Coffee was very good. Again a range of wines are available for purchase and tasting. There are various local craft and art items for sale.

No 58 is to be recommended for its calm atmosphere, good coffee and role as a haven from the hustle and bustle on the south coast. Make the effort to get off the main road and avoid everyone else!

Nice coffee, cute shop, easy to park and nice service. Definitely worth visiting to sit on the deck having a coffee in a relaxed environment with local produce available to buy and yummy food to eat.

lovely atmosphere and art work - great service (Campbell the owner delightful), lovely to have dogs outside and look out on vines. Fish ie and tasting plate both delicious and my friend had a huge bowl of soup of the day.

Nice cafe with a difference. Not only serve food and have a gallery, they also have wine tasting there.
