My daughter and I were in Roma for a swimming carnival. We had dinner here, I can honestly say it was the best rib eye fillet I've ever had. My daughter really enjoyed her lasagne too. Went back the next night and had the 2nd best steak I've had. Previous reviews didn't give this place justice. It was great and noticed it was under new management too.

Stayed: February 2016

Hi Brendan,

Our business has recently undergone huge renovations and a change in management. Things are very different and have definitely improved!

Hope you visit our fresh digs next time you're in Roma,

I'm still shocked by this place. Paid 75 dollars for a midweek night. Horrible, loud. Disgusting. Couldn't wait get out of it. Had stupidly booked two nights in advance. The room was tiny, just a bed and a sink. Massive gap under the door, so you could hear all the noise from downstairs. Kept awake by bar noise until 2am, then woken at about, 8 by room cleaning banging on the door.

Booked a single room and got what I paid for at $60.

The room was what I expected and clean. Share bathroom was clean and user friendly.

The bistro was overpriced for pub grub really. Beer was cold and staff friendly. All in all was a reasonable stay and had a fair nights sleep.

Was a good few nights at the Irish, big thanks to the friendly staff and the great meals. Rooms are basic but clean, neat and tidy.

The meals are truly outstanding. The staff seem mostly from europe and seem to run a very good hotel.

This was the only rooms left in Roma, the town being totally booked out due to mining workers. This is really a backpackers accommodation, and poorly maintained at that. My family of four had to take two separate rooms, the second room only given to us after trying twice to find the right one, third time lucky. Tiny rooms, with just a bed and sink. Shared bathrooms, and for the females you were requested to leave the doors open! Light was blown in the female shower, and also in the filthy common room. The common room fridge stank most likely from rotten food not cleaned out for a long while. Male bath and toilet was almost outdoors, outside of the main building, and down some stairs. Really noisy at night with pub noise and live entertainment going late into the night. You have to be desperate to stay here.
