2 scary dogs that constantly bark at you when you go to reception - no milk or internet code given. Seemed like the attitude was that they were doing me a favour to let me stay there. Overall an unfriendly and bad attitude.

Wonderful stay with the most incredible hosts you could wish for. The Reef Gardens boast easy access for those travelling through and offers good old fashion country hospitality close to everything wonderful that the region has to offer.
Will be back!

Very Friendly Couple, Julie & John, who own and run motel. Their amiable and dexterous with friendly service...they always go the extra mile for you. Prossy is still recovering from cyclone and dodgy contractors. The beds are stupendous...nice and firm for sore backs. Best nights sleep I've had in over a year.
Ambience is prodigious (colossal/ immeasurable).
Service is A+
Food is A+

We were firstly greeted by the very friendly owner who took the time to show us to our room and explain the TV controls for both TV and Foxtel
Our room was very clean
The shower nice and hot
We actually had a lovely fresh pot of milk
Yes the bedroom was not carpeted because of the cyclone that ripped through this area
It made no difference to our stay and need to understand the difficulty the owners are having
The floors were clean
Yes there is traffic noise but you have to expect this when the motel is on an apparently busy highway
The price in comparison to other motels of this rating

A quick overnighter on our way to Cairns. The room was clean and tidy. There is still no carpet but we were advised of this. The gentleman who showed us our rooms as very friendly and welcoming. The linen was fresh and inviting. The bathroom is very dated. Would stay again as a quick stop.
