Description: Envy Cafe is the healthy alternative serving "real food" set in a homely environment where you will find old chairs and furniture from grandma's house :) We pride ourselves on serving local produce ensuring our customers receive the freshest ingredients. We even have a community garden which we are grateful to pass onto our customers. We look after our local farmers by sourcing local produce. Our coffee is free trade organic, our chicken, bacon and eggs are free range because we care. Service is number 1 priority for us because without our customers we would not be here. We spend quality time training our team to not only have the right skills though also have the right attitude :) Enjoy your Envy Experience xx

Vivacious and helpful wait staff ushered us to a vacant table and served water and menus quite promptly despite being so busy we had almost left after not easily seeing a vacant table and a sizeable queue to order at the counter. Great range of enticing options led to initial indecision for several of us, however our drinks arrived fairly quickly with only a brief interval before our meals came nicely presented. Everyone enjoyed their meals (I can recommend their version of eggs benedict with potato rosti and smoked salmon!) and smoothies. Their coffee was also top notch. Lots of 'superfood', gluten free etc. options if that's your thing as well. Probably a dollar or 2 more for meals than I would usually want to pay but we were all highly pleased with the experience. (Not sure it's best lumped in with desserts, it didn't even appear on the TripAdvisor 'Nearby restaurant' radar at 10am whilst walking along the esplanade)

We squeezed in a simple meal on a Sunday and found the food fresh and interesting.

Our Caesar salad and Smoked salmon salad with sweet potato fries were fantastic.

Service was prompt and staff were welcoming and a bit of fun.

After visiting the sunshine coast I was looking for a healthy option and with a few Google searches I came across this cafe, was close to where I was staying and easy to find. That's about as good as it gets. The staff while pleasant were not consistent, one staff member was overly helpful and happy, the next seemed to not how to smile or talk to a customer. The staff were really not the issue for me though as I could see some trying. My issue was that when I sat down at my flimsy table, on a broken chair, I opened up my broken and dirty menu and started to browse, I found a few things I liked the sound of so me and my girlfriends ordered different dishes to get a taste of the place. Disapointing is an understatement! For somewhere that is "healthy" my breakfast was dosed in oil and I asked the waitress if it was rice bran or coconut and she told me it was just veggie oil and "maybe" olive oil.... the food would of been great if it wasn't soaked in oil and charged at a price that seems barbaric!! I was really looking forward to a healthy find but this is not the find I envisioned. Unfortunately won't be back. Tried to take photos of the oil but didn't do justice

Thank you for your response; our customer's feedback is always appreciated. I am sorry to hear of your experience. I would be interested in knowing which item of food you did order so that I can look into the matter. Regards, Nicole

So we arrived with our 1 year old and greeted with a lovely toy colleciton, high chair and an array of table choices (even though the cafe was buzzing). The waitress was exceptional, we watched her work the tables quickly and efficiently as well as engage in small chit chat with everyone including our toddler. Very impressed - the food was awesome too but the atmosphere and comfort are on my priority list these days aswelll so 3 ticks from me.
