“Romantic retreat in the heart of the dales”
Reviewed 17 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Beautiful, cosy cottage, set into the crags overlooking beatiful Bradford Dale. Immediate access to lovely walks in stunning scenery. Lathkill Dale, Middleton Dale and Robin Hood's Stride & The Hermit's cave are all within walking distance.

Wake up to a lovely view from bedroom window and roof-top terrace.

I booked the cottage for my wife's birthday, I was looking for a place that was quiet, had character,a log burner and in a location we could just walk out the door and walk for miles. And I could never have been happier. This charming little character filled cottage is stunning, a home from home. We had plans to visit here there and everywhere and in the end we had no need the area of youlgrave is stunning and with out the hoards of other tourists. Would highly recommend

“Gorgeous cosy cottage”

The cottage is a perfect hideaway for two - fabulous location as its walkable to 3 pubs - Farmyard Inn in particular is really friendly and does great food - and it has some gorgeous walks on the doorstep of the cottage. Inside the cottage has everything you need, including a fabulous wood burner which kept us cosy after our walking. Fab cottage, great location, our only gripe would be to please get a comfier sofa for snuggling up in front of the fire. The current one is not particularly comfortable and definitely not made for two! Only a minor gripe and an otherwise perfect escape.

“A lovely cosy cottage in beautiful surroundings.”
Reviewed 18 January 2015 for a stay in January 2015

We spent a very relaxing and enjoyable three nights in Overdale cottage, which was just perfect for the two of us.Having arrived in the dark, it was such a treat to wake up to the lovely view over the valley, and to explore the very pretty and incredibly friendly village.

There are delightful walks from the front door of the cottage, and we had a very good meal at one of the nearby pubs before getting cosy in the cottage by the log burner. It is such a beautiful part of the country which we would love to explore more, and we would certainly wish to return to Overdale Cottage.
