“Cosy, immaculately clean and well appointed cottage in a great location.”
Reviewed 13 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

My 18 year old daughter and I wanted a couple of days walking and we decided on the Peak District. We struck lucky when we found Jasmine Cottage. (It's sister cottage next door - Penny Pint cottage - looked equally delightful.) With two bedrooms, tidy kitchen and cosy living room it was perfect for our needs. Nagarita and Chris own and look after the place and are clearly very house proud. Not a speck of dust or cobweb in sight. The bathroom and kitchen were also immaculately clean and the beds were comfortable.
The central heating was fast and effective, which we needed for an hour or two in the evening.
We ate in once and cooked breakfast in the mornings and all utensils were easily found and, again, crystal clean. The location was good, on a very quiet lane with great views and a choice of gardens to sit in and we were lucky to enjoy the sunshine and view.

The Cottage is also within walking distance of three pubs in the village, two of which we tried and had good food and the people there were very friendly. There are plenty of great walks to do around Youlgreave and we also did Dovedale and Chatsworth House which were worthwhile and no distance away. We will go for longer next time and do more.

Really lovely trip in a super cottage.

Just a couple of minutes walk from the river in a very pretty village. Comfortable and well equipped. Very friendly and helpful owners. Lovely outside spaces. Blissfully quiet. My second visit and I hope to return.

“Well equipped and conveniently located holiday cottage”

My husband, bichon frise dog and I enjoyed a few nights in this nice holiday cottage.
The owner is very friendly and helpful.
The cottage is in a pretty village. ideally located for visiting the main attractions of the Peak District.
The cottage is around 300 years old, has beamed ceilings and a large fireplace. We found the cottage well equipped with everything we needed. It has nice shared gardens with tables and chairs, a trampoline and a bbq (shared with the owner and their other holiday let).
The property is down a narrow lane (not suitable for cars) so you have to park at the top of the lane and walk down to the cottage. The walk is only a few minutes but is on a slight incline which may cause a problem for someone with walking difficulties.
We found the people in the village friendly, we had a drink in the Bulls Head pub but chose not to eat here. We had a lovely meal in the Bulls Head in Monyash (around a 10 minute drive from Youlgreave).

Pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Parking for the cottage is on Bradford Road so you don't have to park at the top of the lane. You can park at the top of the lane if you cant find parking on Bradford Road. There is no parking on Stoneyside as it is a narrow lane. For people with walking difficulties, it is better to park on Bradford Road. Apologies for that.

The cottage was lovely, much more spacious than expected from the photos in the advert. It is very well equipped and in a lovely village with lots of walking on the doorstep. Would definitely look to stay again.
