We stayed here on 1st/2nd August this year, fantastic cottage, very cosy and full of charm, the bedroom was lovely and the bathroom, especially the shower was fantastic
We will be booking again to try the fire out in November

Just arrived back home after a wonderful 3 night break at Briar Cottage. This is very beautiful and cosy cottage for two that has lot's of character. Ideal for walks or just chilling out on a rainy day. The local pub (The bowling Green) was excellent for food and drink. If we visit this part of the country again then we would definitely book this wonderful cottage.

My husband and I had a lovely weeks stay here in April. The weather was kind to us so we could admire the views on the many good walks around the village of Winster (which by the way is one of the most perfect little villages we've ever visited). Anne was charming and the cottage was very well fitted out with a particularly nice bedroom and hotel standard bathroom upstairs. Everything spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. We'll definitely consider staying here again.
We booked the cottage for the last weekend in May. Downstairs is cosy with everything you need to cook a decent breakfast, or knock up a meal if you prefer. The four poster was comfy, and the bathroom is just beautiful. The village of Winster is superbly located, near to Bakewell, Haddon Hall, Chatsworth House and great walks. Also good to walk around the village itself. The village also has two pubs and and small but well stocked shop. I would definitely recommend the Old Bowling Green for food, but you must book in advance as the pub is very popular. All in all a cracking weekend, and will definitely be back to stay at the cottage. Many thanks to Anne!
Stayed at Anne's Briar cottage for a weekend at the end of January. We arrived late on the Friday night and Anne had thoughtfully put the fire on to warm the place for us getting in. The cottage itself is lovely - the sitting room with the fire is really cosy and the four poster bed is a nice touch in the bedroom. We really enjoyed our stay and Winster is a great base to discover the Peak District. Cooked amazing breakfasts in the little kitchen with food from the farm shop at Chatsworth house - highly recommend!
