We had limited internet services available to us where we were based in the Cotswalds for a two month extended return visit to the UK. We booked The Coach House through the internet description and kitchen amenities they described. We wanted to be in the Derbyshire area as we had lived and worked there a number of years ago, and were keen to show our young family where we lived pre kids. We arrived at around 3pm and after knocking on a few doors, found the land lady, who was pleasant, and showed us to our rooms.
Unfortunately, the rooms were dirty and smelly, and the pillows were very stained. My son found dirty underpants in a draw in his bedroom, and another son found porno magazines in the bedside cabinet. The kitchen facilities were coated with grease. We decided that we couldn't stay, so left immediately and checked into The Whitehouse hotel for very similar rates. The Whitehouse was brilliant and had everything we needed and was clean.
