“Perfect baby friendly break”
Reviewed 30 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Absolutely loved our 4 night stay at the lodge... So much so we really didn't want to leave and can't wait to go again.

This was our first proper break with our 8 month old daughter and the lodge was very baby friendly with travel cot and high chair already present and the lounge had plenty of space for her to practice her crawling. Being open plan to kitchen, dining this also made for ideal family time.

We were blessed with stunning weather each day and the surroundings are seriously beautiful. The park is so peaceful and relaxing. There is a lovely little shop, play park and pub on site, which we used and found everything to be spot on.

We saw the badgers each night which was very exciting and we also saw lots of other wildlife including lots of birds, deer, rabbits etc.

Would highly recommend this place for a relaxing break away from reality! It was just what we needed!!

“Beautiful lodge in superb setting”
Reviewed 8 November 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We had a wonderfual stay at Badger's Way. The lodge is beautifully kept and equipped with everythng we needed. The night-time visit from the badgers to eat the peanuts was amazing for us and the children! The site was stunning too, with a great play area and the bonus of swimming in the pond, where we were able to tick off some of the '50 things to do before you're 11'! There was an amazing amount of things to do in the immediate area and we will definitely be re-visiting to explore some more!

“Lovely little family break”
Reviewed 29 September 2013 for a stay in July 2013

Our stay at Badger's Lodge in Limefitt Park was just lovely. We have two children under 2 and a ten year old so we were apprehensive about taking them all on a mini-break together for the first time! We had no need to worry - within Limefitt Park itself there is an adventure playground for the kids, lovely little walks and a pub. We also ventured out to a few of the local pubs and areas of interest.

The lodge itself was wonderful. Clean, modern, and spacious. We enjoyed having a glass of wine at night, watching TV, listening to to pitter patter of rain and waiting for the badgers to come to the veranda! The badgers came every night to eat the peanut butter we had left out for them - we loved watching them!

I would definitely recommend this lodge and Limefitt. Our children really enjoyed it - and even though we did have our hands full with them, we still found time to relax in the lodge and the lovely surroundings. Myself and my husband both agreed that it would also be great to go back just the two of us - it would be a complete break - total relaxation! Maybe when the kids are older...!

“Just perfect!”
Reviewed 27 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

This was our first stay at the lodge and we will undoubtedly go back! The location is perfect, so much to do around the area and nearby. Great location for walking - we drove a short way up to Glenridding and then walked up Striding Edge and Helvelyn from there. There were lots of lovely pubs/places to eat nearby - and the lodge has a list of some great recommendations. The lodge itself is immaculately maintained and has everything you could possibly want. It was spotless when we arrived, and everything has been thought of - which made the whole experience very relaxing! The badgers didn't disappoint, they were brilliant, and we couldn't believe we got to see them so close up! Overall - just perfect!
