On arrival , loud music emanating from the reception area didn’t bode well but we were assured it wasn’t throughout the aquarium. The experience of the amazing fish in the aquaria was terrific. Sharks swimming so close by and over your head were wonderful. Could say excellent except for the “restaurant “ which was totally bad. The website tells you how good it is but there’s nothing much to eat except rubbish food. We ordered a chicken sandwich each at £7.50 which came from the kitchen in awful stiff bread bun, icy cold, containing cold green stuff - one bit of the edge of a tomato. Asked about the butter but we were told they don’t have butter or Marg on their sandwiches. Exorbitant price for food you could not enjoy.

Traveled up from the midlands for the weekend to visit some attractions. Decided to visit the blue planet aquarium at short notice on the Sunday. It cost two adults and one child £50 to enter. Less than an hour later we were done. All I can say is what a ripoff!
We wasn’t happy with our visit so we contacted them and was told if we provide them with proof of purchase we will get a full refund which I provided but after numerous emails no response. A very poor place to visit even worse customer service. Do not waste your money

This was excellent and we actually went around twice as the variety of species was exceptional. Walking through the tunnel with sharks swimming above you was magnificent. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Went to the aquarium with mixed feelings, went with my two sons and their children, was concerned about the price of parking but charged 2.50 which was for all the time we visited also received free cup of tea, admission for myself was 15.70 as a concession, but we were there a good two hours and enjoyed seeing the fish, also my lads and grandchildren all thoroughly enjoyed, there is an outdoor play area which the kids didn’t experience due to bad weather, all in all a very nice few hours out

We loved the whole aquarium. The talks and feedings were so interesting. The only issue we had was the cafe was way over priced. We spent over £13 on 2 baguettes that were small & stale and the filling was minimal and cheap tasting.

Visited on a Tuesday, lovely and quiet. I understand that it is in a busy area, but charging £2.50 to park, on top of already quite high prices for a small attraction is just not necessary.

If attractions feel the need to charge, just put the ticket prices up.

In all £19.50 each for a couple if hours doesn't really seem good value at this attraction.

To see a great white shark up close is either the most awesome or terrifying experience but you can't help but be utterly captivated by it. So many incredible species on display here in this amazing attraction just outside Chester. The place was very busy when we visited but it didn't detract from the experience - the kids loved to get up close to some of the exotic sea creatures. Much cheaper than going out there and braving the huge waves of the blue Atlantic that's for sure!

The aquarium has plenty of talks and feeds however we were able to complete the whole aquarium within an hour and a half. The glass tunnel was excellent and we went through three times. I can see why people think of it as overpriced however if you book online you can save 10%.

We visited with our 18 month old niece. She was fascinated with all the colours and lights. I just felt like it wasn’t clear what route to take and as we left it until about 2 hours before closure so it would be quieter there was no staff to assist. The tunnel made it worth it and you could spend a fair amount of time in there.
The canteen was also closed on our visit so I would suggest going when it is more peak times if you are able to
