We had booked our motorcycle club rally there. The staff and owners were most obliging they provided a field where there were mains hook-ups, they moved caravans on to the field for some of our members to rent and there was plenty of space for tents.
We were aware of the catering before hand. The breakfast bar provided an excellent range of sarnies, oatcakes and cereals at a reasonable price up until mid-day.
We arranged for mobile caterer to provide evening food up till 11.00pm all in all an excellent weekend.
We have already booked the site for next year.

Room Tip: This is not a hotel. It is a good camping and caravan site

Booked two nights in their camping pods. Pods are a brilliant idea but executed badly by hales hall. Very basic and very uncomfortable. So much so we ciuldntbstay a second night. When we asked for a refund we were met with hostility and and obnoxious woman who spoke down to us. Would not recommend and would not return. Staff need to attend some courses on how to deal with unsatisfied customers.

This was our second stay and we loved it! It's not over filled with campers like other sites we've been to & it's well looked after. Reasonably priced. The kids love the park & bouncy castle. There's space for them to play ball games etc & it's close to a few walks which we would do again (dimmingsdale). We will be back I'm sure.

We booked this site because the website made it look like a very nice site. There isn't a snack bar as such, just a greasy spoon type roadside box that's open in the morning. The website also states all pitches have hook up, again this is not true.
I also think for the facilities available on site (minimal toilets and showers) it is rather pricey. Your pitch is £20, then add £5 a day (extortionate!!!) if you want electric, add £4 if you have an awning and if you want wifi, you've guessed it, it's another additional cost.
The site itself is in a great location just outside of Cheadle and close to Alton Towers but that's all it's got going for it.
All in all, we will probably not return to this site but try one of the other local more affordable sites.

Beautiful location, but poor otherwise. Website offers café, but none there, a bar, but only open Thursday to Sunday. Crude, tired, cold, shower/toilet block with only three showers for each gender. No facilties for motorhomes, and only one, crude, chemical toilet disposal point under a manhole cover with a split water hose. No place for motorhomes to drop grey water. £87 for three nights with hookup, and awning on grass.
