17 wet and muddy humans & dogs warmly welcomed and the bipeds plied with top drawer coffee and cake in a dinky cafe in a gorgeous location.

We decided to visit The Wizard Tearoom for breakfast before going for a nice walk with the children. This was our first visit. The Tearoom opens at 10.00 a.m. on a Sunday and we were there a little before, along with quite a few others ready for the door to open! Clearly a popular place.
We sat at a table near the lovely fire and were quickly greeted with a request for drinks. We ordered two americano coffees and juice for the children. The place has an eclectic mix of rustic charm meets quaint tearoom. The coffees arrived in beautiful china cups and saucers...what great coffee too.
My husband and I ordered the Wizard Breakfast (sausage, bacon, eggs, mushroom, tomatoes, beans, toast), my 9 year old daughter ordered the porridge with berries, nuts and honey, the staff were made aware of my daughter's nut allergy and ensured no nuts would be served with the porridge. My 5 year old son ordered the sausage bap. The food didn't take long to arrive and it was all piping hot and well presented. The food was absolutely gorgeous, lovely to know that all the food was sourced locally, The breakfast was my BEST yet. My son polished off his adult portion sized sausage bap and was very vocal at how delicious it was. All our plates/bowls were clean. What a lovely place, great atmosphere, staff very attentive. We will certainly return again for breakfast before our walk and maybe even after our walk for more coffee and to try more delicious things from their menu. Thank you very much to all the staff for making us feel so welcome.x

So sorry for the late reply to your LOVELY review. I remember you coming in and your little boys reaction to his sausages! It means a lot that you've noticed so many of the details that we hope make the Tearoom a bit special. See you all again soon. Harriet x

Called after a nice walk round the edge, with my husband, 2 teenage daughters, my mum and our trusty mutt. 3 of us had bacon baps, lovely thick bacon on fresh baps. We all had a slice of home made cake each with a brew to wash it down, plus they welcome dogs!

It was Sunday lunch so consequently very busy but the staff are great and really friendly, you can sit inside or out and all in all a great place to sit and rest after a long walk. We also noticed several cyclists stopping for a brew so good for a stop-over in that respect too.

We popped in for lunch with our two very young children. The tearoom is lovely and cosy, the staff are very friendly and efficient and the food is delicious. The homemade cakes topped off a perfect lunch. We'll be back...
