The fish is cooked to order, as it should be, and the end result is excellent. Firm, fresh and flaky with proper chip shop chips and all the sides/trimmings. Mushy peas especially good and the homemade tartare sauce is worth a try, although a little underpowered for my liking. Overall a top experience. And they do 2-4-1 on a Monday. Even better!

Occasionally pop in for a snack when in area on business. The fish is widely known and complimented for the quality but I have also found their steak and ale pies and steak puddings also most enjoyable, very tasty. A nice little treat in a very clean cafe with a nice ambience and pleasant staff.

Great fish and chip restaurant - delicious fresh ingredients served by friendly staff. Relatives come from Saddleworth to visit and when you ask where we should go for a meal they always sat Fosters

Top quality fish and chips. Delicious chunky cod, with a bit of luxury slice of lemon and tartare sauce. Best I've tasted anywhere.

Never been there before, reviews looked fab so my partner & I went into the premises. Staff all looked miserable.
Noticed the fish & chips award dated 2012
Asked for cod & chips twice. Server asked if we wanted salt & vinegar, was put on.
Went to our car to eat.
Noticed how really greasy the batter was & the fish was very watery, the chips were very dry inside though crispy on the outer. There was NO taste of salt & vinegar & my partner challenged me to find any salt in the box, I couldn't !!
To top it off my partners skirt was wet,, this was due to the 2 holes that were cut into the folds of the boxes.
Waste of money, time, effort and still hungry.
