Description: "Alderley Edge – home to some of the nation’s most famous sporting faces, not to mention some of the most demanding diners in the North West. This is where Italian restaurant Gusto steps up to the bar. Taking 1950s New York Italian restaurants as inspiration Gusto has a filmic atmosphere thanks not only to clean, stylish décor but to the raft of slim, glamorous girls sipping wine and comparing the contents of their shopping bags. In the summer Gusto is the perfect place to people watch with a sun-trap terrace just the spot to enjoy a lingering lunch. Every dish on the classic Italian menu is freshly prepared and delicious, a welcome change from the pre-cooked chain pizza. "

Great girls night out here. The restaurant was packed but service was still excellent and speedy .Good wine choice and lovely menu. Excellent steak and a few choices of fish Really nice starters - squid , salmon with marscapone amongst our favourites..They allowed us to take a birthday cake and made a lovely presentation at the end of the meal with it ,

Early evening and a family birthday celebration. Started with different garlic bread which was delicious, probably the best we have had. Thin and crispy with all 3 delicious toppings. We all chose completely different mains, belly pork, duck, cod, chicken and spaghetti carbonara. All delicious and good portions although we had to order extra sides. Very good choice of drinks. Very attentive service but not over the top. Décor very nice and comfortable with great atmosphere. All in all a great evening meal.

Visited on Saturday lunchtime with a friend using a £50 voucher purchased through Manchester Confidential.
The main part of the restaurant was very quiet when we arrived but soon filled up.
We opted for the main menu & both chose the Fondue to start. Quite rare to see this on a menu & it didn't disappoint.
Different Pizzas were our choice of main. I opted for the Peking Duck which was nice apart from the fact that there was a higher proportion of soggy duck skin to meat ! Wouldn't have this again for that reason & this is where they lost a star !!
Desserts were Chocolate Brownie & Nutella Calzone. Both tasty but the latter a bit too stodgy & with hindsight better to have one between two.
Service was good & nice atmosphere. Would certainly recommend!

Had a meal here on a saturday evening and could not fault the food or service. We had a table for 4 booked and was shown to our table straight away. Drinks came within minutes Our food was served hot not luke warm like some italian restaurants .We all ordered different meals and was all happy with our choices. The price was not to bad, new before we booked that it would not be a cheap evening but well worth the price and would recommend this place.
