It wasn't the large room, great food, log fire or character that was the best thing about this hotel - it was the staff! Possibly the best group of receptionists, waiters bartenders etc we've found on our travels. I would recommend a stay here anytime and can guarantee "we'll be back" many thanks to Matt for making us so welcome.

Room Tip: We overlooked the courtyard which was great.

Lovely two day stay at the Villiers in Buckingham.Great welcome, spacious room and an excellent restaurant.New part of the country for us and we found the local towns and villages interesting. The Bletchley Park experience was an added bonus (well worth a visit!).Once again I must compliment the hotel staff,I was even presented with an unsolicited Birthday treat although at my age I am trying to deny the passing years!.

I stayed in this hotel with my wife for a couple of nights as part of a Travelzoo deal. The room and meals that were included in the price of £99 per person were of a very high standard. The hotel staff were all very pleasant and the service in the bar and restarant attentive. We walked around Buckingham, which was pleasant and on one day walked to Stowe Landscaped Gardens which were magnificent. Altogether a bargain of a trip.

Room Tip: We had a room around the courtyard which meant that we were not on the road.

I along with 3 friends had a good deal via Travel Zoo for this hotel, and what a good deal it turned out to be. Check in exelant, car park provided, the rooms were large with a very large bath room. Some of the fixtures were looking a bit in need of a refurb, but bed was very comfy and all very clean. Dinner in the hotel was top standard, all three courses were very good, breakfast was also very good. Included in our deal tickets to Betchley Park also worth the visit. Staff were very good and looked after us well. Buckingham a little short of nice pubs, the White Hart was a pub to miss it was rank we all sent our food back.

What a surprise in this sleepy little town, one of the largest rooms I've seen in a British hotel with two (yes two!) comfy armchairs which meant we could both relax and watch the wall-mounted flat TV. A full 6ft king bed, very comfy, and a built in wardrobe unit with integral, well -lit desk, even the wardrobe light came on when you opened the doors onto proper hangers (not nasty wire ones). The trouser press was tucked away into one end instead of being free-standing and ugly. Lots of lights but instead of the usual rigmarole of working out which switch controlled which light all the switches were inscribed with what they did, how neat! A word of caution, if you love duvets this is not for you, lots of crisp fresh linen with proper blankets, ahhh!
The service throughout this Travelzoo Bletchley Park break was friendly and effective, everything went smoothly. The food was surprisingy good, quite simple menus but what they did was first class and well cooked, with a special mention for breakfast which was the full English cooked to order with real fried bread (not the ubiquitous hash browns) and decent sausage. A real pleasure.
So far so good, but the hotel also has free wi-fi and free parking, both increasingly rare. Very little on the down side, in the bathroom the (heated) towel rail was as far away as possible from the bath and sink whilst still being in the same room and the grouting needed attention, but otherwise the hotel was spruce and in excellent condition. The bar was also busy with a fair number of locals enjoying the friendly atmosphere.
This hotel is a little gem, at standard rates it is attractive, at offer rates it's irresistible!

Room Tip: Ask for a Zip room (this gives you twin beds zipped together to give a full size king)
