Casa Tia Micha exceeded all expectations and was the loveliest place I stayed in Mexico.
The room was beautiful and the whole place was charming. The included breakfast was fantastic (three courses!) and the staff outstanding. The local was great too. I highly recommend this place.

We loved this place, from the ambience and the old world decor to the quiet location while being right in the middle of town, to the hospitality of the owner and staff....this hotel was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Mexico. And to start off each morning with such a hearty and varied breakfast in the sunlit courtyard was just over the top. Stayed 3 nights.

I can't say enough about how wonderful this little hotel is. It is just far enough away from the square to be quiet and quaint, but close enough that we could walk to dinner or the square every evening. The grounds are impeccably clean and bursting with color. It seemed as though there was always a staff member sweeping the sidewalks or just around the corner if you ever needed anything. While we spend most of the time at Tia Micha, but we did go over to Marlene and cooled off in the plunge pool. It is strikingly cold, a bit small, but we enjoyed it. Our stay in the Sisal Suite was great- the hot water was plentiful and the refreshments in the mini fridge were appreciated. The breakfasts were above and beyond what we expected. Try the Mayan/Mexican coffee instead of the Americano. I think it had brown sugar, cinnamon, and anise. Very different. It was delicious. Overall, though, the hotel staff truly made our stay perfect. Everyone was so kind and accommodating- it is very clear the hotels are a labor of love.

Room Tip: The Sisal Suite was very roomy. No windows, but a really pretty patio out front of it.
