I really loved ths place. Small hotel (6 rooms I think). Pristine beach, nobody there. A superb reef just in front of the hotel kept me snorkeling for hours.
I enjoyed chatting with the owners Monica and Andrea who built the place from scratch. Quite a feat, as no electricity (they have a wind turbine), no public water (well and water truck), no phones (they have a great wifi through radio signal I think).
Since there are no street lights and the town is 15 minutes away watching the stars at night is great, they shine like nowhere else.
The hotel also proposes very tasty meals, a combination of italian and mexican food.
Great scuba diving in Mahahual as well.
Only downsides are, no fruit for breakfast and the toilets in your room will be a tad smelly as there is no public sewage (sceptic tank), a small price to pay for being in such a nice place.
Overall a fantastic place, great owners and I look to come back soon.
