Casa Iguana is in a good location between Half Moon Bay and old Akumal Bay area. It is on a rocky section of the shore that means virtually no one walking by along shore. A short stroll to either bay along narrow road (fresh baked goods for breakfast from Turtle Bay Bakery one direction, happy hour at la Buena Vida the other direction). Really great pool for kids and big enough for adults too. Several nice outdoor "rooms" --- we dined most nights outside at the long table, which is well situated below the pool, out of the wind (it was windy all week). Bernardo is a great cook and what a treat to not have to cook dinner! His sister, Juana, cleaned up after us including laundry! Build $200/week into your budget to tip these wonderful folks. Some of us had some trouble sleeping with the wind rustling in the palm trees (SIGH!). The palapa roof/ceiling in the casita had some residents (geckos we think) which was a little disconcerting. The newer 2 story house had better lighting and beds (one queen and one king that can be separated into 2 twins), and was tucked further back from the street than the single story casita, which consists of a round kitchen(spacious)/sitting room, then a bedroom/bath, and then another bedroom/bath (have to walk through the first bedroom or enter from outside), with a total of 3 double beds and one small twin. Internet worked great. Overall very clean with much charm.
