First of all, try the wood-fired Artichoke with Risotto; it is sublime!
This is, by far, the best dining experience in Valle de Bravo; three days, three visits and counting.
The family of Ciro has recently retaken management of this 38-year old institution, and the menu is a blend of Ciro's old recipes and their own. Because it is family run, they take great care in making you feel welcome, and they make sure it is a memorable experience.
I've already mentioned the artichoke, but all the other dishes we tried (spaghetti parmigiana, cooked in a parmesan wheel, wood-fire oven pizza, and crepas con cajeta), were also really good.
Yes, it is a bit on the expensive side, bit not much more than any of the other high end restaurants in Valle de Bravo, but the food and overall experience was truly superior. We paid around $300MXN per person without alcohol.
Oh, and did I mention the artichoke?
