This is a small boutique hotel. We stayed on the second floor in room 2 with a king size bed and kitchenette. When we were planning, we thought we might cook some meals, but with all the wonderful restaurants within walking distance, the most we did was heat up left overs as a snack.
We arranged for a ride from (and to) the airport with the hotel prior to arrival. Our driver was waiting for us upon our arrival. The rides to & from the airport were flawless.
The location of the hotel is perfect! It’s right across the street from Lake Chapala Society. About 1 block from the lake and a couple blocks from the plaza. There are many restaurants also within walking distance. Our favorites we went to twice during the week: Cocinart (across the street), M & J Royal Pizza (down the street) and Machima (all vegan friendly).
Upon arrival to the hotel, my husband asked for a margarita from the bar. Jesus didn’t have any limes, so he ran to the corner store and got some. My husband said the drink was excellent! This was just the first of several times that the staff went above & beyond for us.
The room was very clean upon arrival. There were fresh cut flowers in a vase. The bed was comfortable. We were never woken up by noise. There is a standing fan and space heater should you need it. There is a large container of filtered water always available. The room was cleaned and tidied up each day while we were out for our morning excursion. And to comment on a prior review: we did have hot water. Just make sure you are turning the correct knob.
A continental breakfast is served. Each day they served coffee, tea, juice, milk, a few choices of fruit (ie. bananas, watermelon, kiwi and mango), bread (toaster available), hard boiled eggs, sweetened instant oatmeal, pastries or sweet breads and a few cold cereals.
The staff really makes this hotel a home away from home. They could not have been more helpful with our questions. They helped us with taxis/rides and made a reservation for us. We would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Casa Blanca is a small (approx. 10 rooms) hotel. It is in a great location - 2 blocks from the plaza and 2 blocks from the lake. You step off the street into your own little oasis. Staff is friendly and always available. Good continental breakfast. We were in Ajijic the week of the yearly festival. Each day we were awakened by fireworks at 6:00 am and they lasted until after mid-night. But, on the other hand there were parades and music and vendors serving delicious authentic Mexican food on he plaza every night.

I stayed in the Hotel Casa Blanca for two weeks this October. I spent time in a downstairs room as well as an upstairs room. Both were very clean. The staff is top notch. Every request was well understood and handled immediately, with the greatest if attitudes. I was able to walk or take a cab everywhere I needed to go. I highly recommend this hotel! Definitely check out Cocinart for lunch/dinner just a block and a half down the street.

I find the Casa Blanca top be a really cool place to stay. The location is very central and within walking distance to everything. I have stayed here a total of 4 times over a period two years and have found the hotel to be consistent in cleanliness and serve.. The staff is very helpful and patient and I love the relaxed laid back ambiance.

Everything about this hotel is wonderful. Rooms are comfortable with free wifi and tv with Mexican and English stations. Plenty of filtered water replaced whenever necessary. Free continental breakfast was plentiful and often held us till dinner. But the best part of this hotel is the management - Jesus, Naomi and Matt (the owner). They went way out of their way to be helpful - getting us a terrific guide at much less money than the local travel agency; finding salads for us at night and bringing them to the hotel; locating a place for us to rent this winter and getting car service to pick us up and drop us off in Guadalajara. I've never been anywhere else where the service was quite like this. I recommend this property 100%
