“Very nice accomodations!”
Reviewed 15 January 2016 for a stay in January 2016

My husband and I stayed the first couple of weeks in January. We were late getting into Los Barilles and Hector from Wolf Management stayed to wait for us and was very accommodating. The condo was nicely appointed and generally pretty quiet. It has a nice pool on the roof but it is unheated so the ocean was a better bet. It's nice because you can literally walk out to the beach in front of the condo and snorkel. Many beautiful varieties of fish, and you can also take a short trip up the coast to El Pescador and snorkel there. The management company was very quick to respond to my emails during our stay. I would highly recommend this place if you want a nice quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the bigger resort towns.

“quiet, relaxing beach vacation”

We rented this beachfront condominium unit during Holy Week, when things can get pretty crazy in Mexico. We had never been to Los Barriles, but chose it because we thought it might be quieter than some of the larger towns. Its always a gamble to go somewhere on a hunch, but the rental and the town exceeded our expectations. The unit was in immaculate condition, clean, comfortable, very well-equipped and tastefully decorated. Located on the second level, one up from the beach, one down from the entrance, and two down from the pool. There was a large furnished balcony where we could watch the sun rise, and watch whales offshore. Air conditioning and ceiling fans that we didn't really need in March. The complex fronts onto a white sand snorkeling beach, very quiet and private, with palapas. Very gentle waves, no real surf, perfect for kids and swimming. There are ATVs that seem to use the beach as a shortcut to town from homes farther out, but this was infrequent and wasn't an issue for us. The complex was very quiet, only one other family on an extended vacation, and some permanent expat residents who were very friendly and helpful, with good advice about restaurants and activities. We would happily return on future trips to Baja.

“Even better than we hoped for”
Reviewed 12 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

The condo is literally on the beach - and that too is white clean sand. Well appointed and furnished, the easy furniture is very comfortable and the beds really good. Rooms and patio spacious. The only noise is of the ocean, and that can be blocked out if you need silence for sleeping.
The locked private parking a plus (no worries about rental or your own car)

“LOW KEY RELAXATION IN EAST CAPE”
Reviewed 7 January 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Playa Blanca is a nice multi unit building directly on the ocean with easy and safe parking. Our condo had everything we needed and clean and well maintained. Wifi worked well and the kitchen was well equipped. No TV but owner has a large selection of DVDs to keep you entertained at night. We walked along the beach to the main part of town (about 30 minutes) or it's a quick drive. Best things to do are the windsurfing and kite board if you are into that. North winds are consistent in the winter it seems. Kids played in the surf (bring wet suits in winter) we hired ATVs to drive the beach and snorkeled at Punta Pescadero (sp?) we also hired a boat for half day fishing. Town has all the food and restaurants you'd need. low key fun

“The condo is much nicer than in the photos.”
Reviewed 12 May 2014 for a stay in January 2014

I would definitely stay here again. The management office was excellent. They waited two additional hours to get me the key upon my late arrival. I would book an early flight because there is no highway lighting and its easy to miss the turn off to Los barilles. The only thing missing in the kitchen was a bottle opener for beer and wine. I loved the washer and dryer. Stereo system was excellent as well as the internet and flat screen. Comfortable large beds. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable if you just want to hang out. The rooftop pool is beautiful in the morning perfect for breakfast and early morning swim. Secured parking was very nice and modern. The condo complex is small and well maintained. Very quiet and soothing. The hit water was an issue and when I mentioned the issue they fixed if right away. I would recommend the condo and would stay here again on my next visit
