It was a long drive from Halifax and on the way through Val d' or Freezing rain started and it was the right call to pull off the road. Forestel Hotel are dog friendly offering a beautiful modern room, clean place and nice atmosphere. Friendly service making their best attempt to offer what English they know, lmao which is more than my French. Sad but true, however, nonetheless the stay was for two nights. I left on the 2nd day to return driving cross country well rested. Great hotel!! They offer tremendous dinning with gourmet food, mouth watering succulent food. It's an amazing hotel. Thanks for Rudy and my stay being so refreshing.

Large double-bed room, very modern, comfy and quiet (even if the place was full), but supper at the restaurant, WOW! Had the homemade wild mushroom ravioli topped with pulled goat meat (yes goat, not pork) PERFECT! and very good local microbrews, but service from the waittress was quite disappointing. Spent the following day attending a conference on the premises: good service, good lunch and good quality snacks.

Room tip: very last room at the end of the hall was quiet

I was very upset with the fact that this property caters to a group of rowdy customers that held a wedding during the week I was there. Screaming in the hallways and loud banging on doors.

Clearly, management prefer to host drunks than business people.

Hi Tom C, we are really sad to know you did not appreciate your stay and that other customers we having a wedding party. Have you call the reception at that time to tell them? We could have change your room and make sure people weren't that loud. We usually make sure all people renting our celebration rooms are in the same area to reduce disturbing. Again we are sorry for that. Have a good day!

Very comfortable. Spacious rooms. There is a restaurant in the hotel with a good chef. We enjoyed our meal and our stay.
The price is still competitive. Service offered in both French and English
I highly recommend it.

The place looked new with very nice room of a good size. The restaurant was very good. This a place i'd go back for sure. Although some guys on the group had to wait 2 hours (no joke) for their late dinner (they forgot or the order got lost). It was nicely decorated and felt comfortable.
