Hotel rooms are very cozy and the choices range a lot from the more basic (still quite an experience) to large suites. My wife and I have traveled here on several occasions and have also gone with extended families and friends and it is a welcoming place for people of all ages.
Perhaps one of the best things of this hotel are the lunch buffets, which are very complete and varied. The cold cuts, fresh smoked salmon and the selection of quality cheeses are magnificent and never deceiving.
This time when we visited in February, we loved the activities available for guests, and we took a ride on the dog sled. This is a total must! The trip lasts about 15 minutes at the most which is perfect given the frosty air. There are activities pretty much for every season which makes this a 'must go' destination year-round.
One thing that strikes me however, is some of the clientele. We were down to the breakfast room and some people almost looked like they were wearing pajamas. Kind of gross when you think of a Fairmont. Unexpected especially when considering the price of this fine establishment. Guess it's not the hotel's fault.More
