For a town with such an exquisite beachfront, Southampton has limited accommodation. This plain, quirky little motel appears to be the only place at the beach. Your first glance into its courtyard, with its dated, random furnishings may make you hesitate. But give the place a chance—you will find the old-style rooms surprisingly comfortable and the atmosphere surprisingly agreeable.

Hotel is dated, however new owner Brian Vokes is turning this motel into a work of art. Don't judge this place until you've been inside.

Stayed here July 29, 2016 & returning Aug 1, 2016. Best motel in Southampton especially with location close to beach, boardwalk, Friday nite bagpiper on the beach, shopping, local restaurants like Walker House, Duffy's and new Italian restaurant just opened in town. Ice cream, vegan, coffee shops, etc. Plus there a bus stop in front of this motel and for cost of $1.00 catch the shuttle for ride into town of Port Elgin.

Huron Haven is best motel for location, convenience, cleanliness, amenities and class. I give it a 10. It sparkling clean and parking on premises free.

Beds all new, comfortable thick mattresses, quiet peacefulness here and comes with pull-out couch in living room. Kitchenette all with dishes and kitchen very adequate. Stove, full size fridge, your own private outdoor patio table and chairs to dine. Rooms with modern decor, beautiful modern lamps, tiles all new plus digital TV. Bathroom a bit small but manageable. New shower. AC in all rooms. Privacy curtains too.

Cost $115.00 in high season. Suites $165.00 in high season.
Weekly stays welcome.

Owner professional, very friendly, likes to meet people. Brian still renovating rooms. Larger suites upstairs.

Huron Haven is quaint, quiet, sparkling with full amenities. Always full. In a matter of time it will be a real gem. Just wait and see. Thank you Brian. You should be proud, very proud.

These people are honestly creepy. 8 family members stayed here and invited other family members to gather in the largest booked room. The owners kept staring at our every move for hours while we hung out, went to the beach, and came back. Extra family members left to go home while the rest stayed in their booked rooms...with the owners still watching our every move. The lady came to the room after 11pm and started interrogating us about how many people were in our room and demanded an extra $20. Lost all of our future business and would not recommend.

First time visit to this area and hotel. The accommodations were great and Brian the host was wonderful. He made us feel welcome and was very helpful. Plan on a return visit next year. There is lots to do and see in the area - enjoyed the Walker House for eating plus the Lighthouse. Would highly recommend either one.

Room Tip: Corner suites are large and sunny
