This B&B was one of the best I ever went to. The lovely hosts Gary & Jackie made us feel at home on our long journey through Canada. The rooms are wonderful and the beds really confortable! We had our own fridge as well as some stuff to make coffee and tea when ever we wanted. The house itself is very clean and propre. It's so easy to get the feeling of beeing home.

Gary and Jackie had some great advise what to do during our stay. They were really helpful.
The breakfast: oh my god ( and I am not even religios :-)) it was amazing. Jackie made everyday a new breakfast and sooo delicious. Even if you are allergic to gluteen or lactose that's no problem for Jackie she has everything glutenfree as well.
We would definitily recomend this place to everyone. We'll come back.

My promise to Gary and Jackie here the text in swissgerman:

Ds isch eis vode beste B&B's gsi woni je bi gsi. D lag isch super z huus riisig u aus isch sehr suuber. Mir hei üse eiget Chüeuschrank ka u heinis o mitem Wasserchocher Tee u Kafi choenne mache. D Zimmer sie sehr liebevou iigrichtet ud Bett wük bequem.
Dr Gary ud Jackie heinis mit guete Tipps für Restaurants u Sehenswürigkeite chöne wiiterheufe.

Z Zmorge: dr haaaaaaaaaaaaaammer. D Jackie cha ( wenns gwuenscht wird u nötig isch) aus Glute frei u Laktosefrei mache. Zudem hezi jede Tag öppis neus ufftischt. Eifach usgezeichnet.

My husband and I just wanted a short weekend getaway and we found Ballyclare while exploring Bloomfield; Jackie and Gary were really nice and helpful, they definitely made our stay very pleasant and provided guidance for our visit to Sandbanks and some tips about the area.
Breakfast was fresh with all natural products, healthy and delicious and of course our room was very comfortable.
I will definitely stay there again when visiting, this place is 5 stars.

Room Tip: Any room is great.

Found Ballyclaire B&B on web. Recommended by Janette Higgins. Great stay in a century home with very comfortable rooms. Breakfast was delicious. Jackie and Gary were very helpful in helping us plan our stay in the county. The location on Ballyclaire is very convenient. Close to Sandbanks. Lots of wineries to visit. There is a bicycle rental across the street from the B&B. Had a great time!

Room Tip: Stayed in Ocean room, but both seemed equally good.

We decided to spend our thanksgiving in PEC. The hosts were extremely knowledgeable and helpful in giving us tips for activities that suits our interests. Breakfast was very lovely! french toast on our first day, and veggie omelette the second day, with fresh fruit cups and home baked loaf or muffins. The B&B is situated right in the heart of Bloomfield, across the street are boutiques and the popular Slicker's ice cream, and only a a few min drive into Picton or Wellington. We were very close to the wineries and walking distance to Angeline's Hubb where we had our thanksgiving dinner. This was our first trip to the county, which was memorable and romantic. We highly recommend staying in Bloomfield at the Ballyclare B&B and look forward to returning next year.

Room Tip: Basic toiletries are provided, but bring your own if you're picky like me.

My husband and I had a last-minute weekend getaway at PEC - our hosts Jackie and Gary were very friendly, informative and know the local area very well. Our room was very clean, and the mattress super comfy. Breakfast was ACE - fresh fruit & yoghurt, followed by banana coconut bread then amaretto french toast with slivers of almonds and fresh raspberries! Bloomfield is a fantastic place to be based if you are visiting PEC - Wellington would be my second-choice; Picton feels too commercialized. When in Bloomfield, do check out Slickers Ice Cream (try "campfire" - toasted marshmallows, really unique!) and Kokita for Canadian-crafted goodies. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: You might want to bring your own toiletries eg soap and shampoo if you are fussy, however what was provided was completely adequate.
