Hello, I have been to several indian restaurants as I enjoy east indian food and I was a little dissappointed with some of their dishes. I ordered the butter chicken which was a 5/5, then we ordered a saag+goat dish - the meat was in small peices and was not a good dish 1/5 at best, then ordered a rara goat dish - which should be dark brown curry and savory and it looked like the same sauce as the butter chicken and the meat was in small peices 1/5 at best. I also ordered a Kofta dish, 4/5, and daal which was a 5/5. I ordered the chicken biriyani which is not supposed to look or taste like this, there is better biriyani at Food Time in Pickering not far away. Overall I would say this was a 2/5 experience for someone who likes good indian food.

Well, folks, came down from Uxbridge for another order of authentic Indian Cuisine to tantalize my friends at a dinner party. Everyone was soooo pleased. The food is fresh and the sauces light. Spicing was just right. Each dish had its own distinct flavour as described in the menu. A gem in Ajax! Thank you Chef!

We have been going to Mount Everest for at least 15 years and it was always our favourite place for Indian food. We were so worried when the new owners took over. Well, I can sadly say that my last experience was disappointing. It's all about the butter chicken!!!!! If you can't do an all white meat, tender, non-gristly butter chicken, like Mount Everest ALWAYS did, then I am not interested. We had ordered a ton of food to take out for my birthday dinner. We had ordered some new dishes that we had not tried before. Sadly, nothing came labelled so I had no idea what we were eating. One of our guests was vegetarian so he found it challenging to find something suitable amongst the unlabelled containers. Another guest had requested that we order a certain mushroom dish that we have never ordered before, but we couldn't figure out which dish it was! We asked for two orders of butter chicken and one of the containers had only 4 small pieces of chicken in the entire container - it was all sauce. The lentil dish ( wish I could tell you the name) was quite " soupy" and not very tasty. I was so disappointed- not so much that my birthday dinner was a let-down ( there are REAL problems in the world), but to know that our favourite little gem in Ajax is no more. ☹️

I used to eat here all the time. Wonderful people, good service.

Unfortunately the cook started using dark and cartilage-laden meat in the Butter Chicken, both of which any Indian chef will tell you is not acceptable. I asked for an "all-white meat" Butter Chicken and even offered to pay more for it, but I was told it was "hard to separate out just the white meat" (?).

Since dark meat and cartilage have no place in Butter Chicken, I have not returned since. A shame too, because the sauce was probably the best I've ever tasted. But cheaping-out on the quality of meat is a great way to ruin a perfect dish. I'd rather pay a little more for the proper dish.

Very flavourful with great vegetarian options. We did take-out for a large gathering. We would definitely go back again.
