This was one of the best places to stay on the Cabot Trail. Roland was ever the host and the area was beautiful. Places were clean and cozy. Quiet and private, the grounds were beautifully maintained and lively to sit on the porch and view. Price definitely with the stay

Hunter's Mountain Chalet was an ideal location for our three nights on Cape Breton (oh if only it could have been longer!). It's strategically placed where one can go east or west on the Cabot Trail and explore both sides of the island. The accommodations were very welcome after some time on the road - loved having a kitchen and grill, and space to spread out. Not to mention the beautiful views. Would highly recommend!

Easy to find, good view of the meadow and (distantly) the Bras d'Or. Kitchen is a tad spartan. Rooms and windows use a European system (the king sized bed is really two adjoined twin beds, windows open by tiling in, etc.). Good base camp for Cape Breton. Roland is a jovial gem, a genuine host.

Spent a night in one of host Roland's cabins. The spot is very tranquil about 10 mins out of Baddeck at the start of the Cabot Trail. The cabins are on a slight hill with good views of the property's dam and the Baddeck River. Roland offered a very friendly welcome and we found the cabin to be basic but very clean with everything needed for the one night stay. The bed was excellent and there was a lot of space to roam. Roland has used the mower to create number of loop walks which are well sign posted and a good way to walk out any kinks from driving.

We stayed in a two bedroom chalet for three nights. The chalet was spacious and well equipped. It was also very clean. We were shown round by Roland who was quite charming and helpful. The chalets were well placed for exploring the Cabot Trail and for visiting Baddeck. They were situated in a quiet location with some beautiful views. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if we were in the area.
