This was our favorite place on a 2 weeks trip through Nova Scotia, Cape Breton, and PEI. The location is a perfect combination of things to do and total relaxation. The cabins are really more like beach condos....very nice, comfortable, and enticing. We tried to stay another day, but they were (understandably) already booked! Our biggest mistake was not booking this for 2 full days! Be sure to make reservations one night at the Wild Carroway restaurant in the little town of West Advocate. The rest of the time, cook at the condo! This is also a great place to observe the amaing Bay of Fundy tides...

This was my favorite lodging of our two-week trip to Nova Scotia and Cape Breton. We spent two nights here and wished we had stayed longer. The hosts were friendly and very helpful. Our two-bedroom chalet was roomy and attractive, with a fully-stocked kitchen, cozy living room and balcony upstairs, and the bedrooms and bathroom downstairs. It looked over a driftwood- and rock-filled beach that was fun to walk and play on. We paid a bit extra to use the private hot tub on our deck both nights and it was well worth it -- so pleasant to soak in it and look at the stars while enjoying some local wine. The location is great. Cape Chignecto Provincial Park is only a few minutes up the road and it has some wonderful hiking and beaches. We also recommend The Wild Caraway for dinner, fabulous food in a relaxing setting.

We fell in love with Driftwood the moment we pulled into the drive. The cottage was immaculate and well stocked, the beach - rugged and weather beaten, and we had everything we needed. In the three days we were here, we had sun, rain, and dense fog; all three thoroughly enjoyable.

The only things we would have changed - curtains or drapes in the upper levels and baking dishes. Very small gripes in the grand scheme, though. We would recommend Driftwood wholeheartedly if you are looking for a place near hiking or rock-hounding areas, or just a place to watch the tides.

We keep returning to this beautiful and peaceful place. It is very relaxing. The cottages are very comfortable, the pebble beach beautiful, and the surroundings incredible. The hiking at Cape Chignecto is great and you can reach the trailhead by walking along the beach from your cottage. At night, it is so easy so have a campfire on the beach, using the endless supply of driftwood.

My husband and I just returned from a stay at Driftwood for the second time in 12 months. This is the only cottage we have ever stayed at twice! The lady who runs the place, Gloria, is a sweet heart. The cottages were cozy and relazing, and the view is breathtaking. There isnt a lot to do aroung Advocate Harbour in the Spring, but that was just what we were looking for. A walk on the beach, a roasted hot dog on a beach fire, and a peaceful place to relax and read a book. The lack of tv was just what we needed, and you can see the stars at night so much better out there without all the city lights. We will likely stay there a third time!
