Once again, Garland House does not disappoint!!!! The house is in the perfect location to explore everything that Trinity has to offer. We were a party of 10 and this house with its 8 bedrooms was the perfect size. Ken, the owner, has taken care of everything to make your stay amazing....bedrooms and bathrooms have all been updated and are very comfortable. A new addition this year was a combination lock which was great as it meant we didn't need to keep track of keys. If we return to Trinity for a third year, we will definitely book this house....it has amazing karma!!!
This 8 bedroom house right on the water was a highlight of our trip to Newfoundland. We stayed 4 nights and it was a great launching pad to explore Trinity and the Bonavista peninsula. The house is spacious and very comfortable. 3 Full bathrooms and all recently updated. On tip: we enjoyed using the kitchen because we stocked up on groceries in St. John's; The grocery markets in Trinity and Port Rexton are small and have limited options. We would definitely stay at Garland House again! Thank you Ken!
A big thank you to Ken at the Garland House. We had a fabulous 4 night stay. It started with great communication from Ken and Trip Advisor. On arrival we were met by Sarah from Sarahs chocolate shop (next door- did we mention a homemade chocolate shop is NEXT door). Sarah is fabulous- gave a tour of the house, tips for things to do locally and generally just a super nice person to chat with. The house is exactly as shown. A beautiful heritage home nestled immediately off the beach. Property is well maintained and super clean. Beds and pillows comfortable. Lots of outdoor chairs and a brand new BBQ. All our evening meals were on the BBQ enjoyed on the deck overlooking the Bay. Plenty of wine glasses and nice cutlery. Once the sun set, we sat by the new fire pit and enjoyed listening to the waves gentle crash beside us. We were fortunate to be there on the Trinity Village Fair weekend which meant Sunday evening Fireworks- on our beach. We had the best seats in the village. Bedrooms are all upstairs and separated nicely. Everyone felt they had privacy. Trinity is a lovely historic town, as well lots to do nearby. We stayed 4 nights and felt that was a nice amount of time. I highly recommend this home and hope to be back. Note: The chocolates are fabulous. We sure to visit.
The house is amazing - you cannot beat the location...right on the water. Ken, the owner, has provided all the amenities you need to fully enjoy this property. Sarah, who runs the chocolate shop attached to the house, was easily contactable and gave us great recommendations on things to do in the area. The house is huge and easily accommodated our three generations of family with updated bedrooms and bathrooms. We had absolutely no issues during our stay and would book this property again and again!!!!
Trinity Newfoundland is a historic town located on Trinity Harbor. The Garland House is located right on the dock road with views of the harbor and surrounding village. Our group of 12 (3 generations of our family) were very comfortable in this home both due to the space and amenities as well as the perfect location for sightseeing in Trinity.
The home has 7 bedrooms with comfortable beds and linens, 3 full modern baths which are nicely decorated and a roomy first floor with space for everyone to spread out. The backyard overlooks the boat launch and rocky beach and has a nice porch for coffee outside and a fire pit. Our kids spent a lot of time fishing off the little point beyond the backyard. (and in Aunt Sarah's Chocolate Shop which is located in the same building)
Ken (the owner) was very responsive during the booking process and his Trinity contacts were available for questions during out stay.
We loved our stay and hope one day to return to this beautiful place!
