It was a wet windy weekend for a fall wedding. Staff were great. Very accommodating.
Views from the restaurant were magnificent. Need to return when the sun shines. All the meals were enjoyable and the bar was well stocked and kept busy!

We stayed here for 3 nights during our tour around Canada, and much of our stay here really was amazing. We had a suite which looked out over the Sechelt Inlet, and we could have spent all our time just looking at this, it was beautiful!

The Suite itself, apart from the small dark shower, was gorgeous! We loved the hatch through to the bathroom, giving it an even bigger feel, and there was a good coffee machine that was re-stocked daily.

The one downside to the suites is that the walkways are wooden, and there is little insulation between the rooms. So when a wedding party arrived on our last night's stay, our ‘Wilderness retreat’ was quickly disturbed by the sound of lots (and I mean lots) of clompy high heels, stomping from the upstairs room / corridor, and even snoring from the man next door! I’m sure if you aren’t a light sleeper this wouldn’t be an issue at all though!

The Inlets restaurant, although a little pricey, had a very warm atmosphere, and the evening meals we ate in there were very tasty. I would certainly recommend their cocktails too....very nice!!

On the first day, breakfast was great, with friendly staff and good service. The second morning however was terrible, which wasn’t helped by the increased quantity of wedding guests (although we would expect a hotel such as this to be able to accommodate this easily).

We had booked to go Kayaking at 10am, so went to breakfast at 8am expecting to have plenty of time....we couldn’t have been more wrong. It took 10 minutes to be acknowledged and seated, another 20 minutes to place our order then nearly an hour to get our food, which was cold and rubbery (at which point I had to see if we could move our Kayaking back, which luckily was accommodated by reception).
The main issue we had was the fact that it was such a contrast to previous meals, and we were pretty much ignored for the hour. If we had been advised about the delay when we were seated, and kept informed whilst waiting, the issue would have been easily rectified. Now I appreciate that large tips are the culture in Canada, but an 18% service charge was added to the bill (in all our time in Canada, this was the only time a tip had been pre-added). I was insulted that the waitress felt that this terrible meal and service deserved even more money so I had to ask for it to be removed, and did explain why to the server. I received a very frosty and rude response to this, but the tip was removed in order for us to tip accordingly.

Following this we did not eat in the restaurant again as they clearly could not cope with the influx of guests. Perhaps due to it being towards the end of the season they were short staffed, but I’d hope that this isn’t reflected in the busier summer months.

Apart from the issues mentioned, this really is a beautiful place, with plenty of outdoor activities on their doorstep, so I would still recommend a visit.

Room Tip: Although potentially noisier, the Ocean Suites have stunning views.

Just stayed here with 3 friends. Absolutely amazing view from the dining room. Has very high spec rooms which were so comfortable!

The highlight has to be the cocktail list! Incredible selection of really complex drinks. The barman did an incredible job of matching drinks to each of our palates alongside some top banter!!

Will be back!

We stayed here for 2 nights in September as part if an independent tour of Vancouver and Vancouver Island.
The room was lovely and the oceanview we had was amazing and made the stay that much more special. The scenery was out of this world.
The restaurant at the hotel was expensive and out of our normal price range but the food was exquisite and the view from the restaurant made for a lovely evening. If however you would prefer a cheaper option you could try Backeddy which is only a short walk away. We went there on the second night and although not as special as the onsite restaurant the food was very nice too.
We spend one of the afternoon's Kayaking on the lake which was a lot of fun and it was great to get so close to the seals basking on the rock. If the weather is nice I would advise this activity to everyone.
The staff were very friendly and it was a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: Its worth getting an oceanview if you can afford to.
