One of the options offered for those who visit the area are cultural tours - book one! You will not be disappointed! We enjoyed canoeing from Memorial Park checking out the petroglyphs before paddling all the way to the other end of the lake finishing up at Quaaout Lodge. We also toured a traditional Kekuli and enjoyed storytelling by our guide Tanner.

We were warmly welcomed at reception and received a message from them minutes after getting to our room, inquiring if the room was to our satisfaction (first time ever). The room is beautiful with partial view of the lake like all the other rooms. Very clean. Comfortable king size bed with soft, good quality linen, small fridge, medium size TV and comfy chair with over-shoulder lamp where I enjoyed some reading. Even the information manual is beautiful. Little details throughout the hotel to make you sense that some thought were given to make it unique. We had drinks late afternoon on the restaurant patio. What bliss! Nice indoor and outdoor restaurant with beautiful view and really good food nicely presented. Two dinner menus (fine dining/lounge). Great service - Lots of thanks to Krista, our waitress, who did everything she could to make us feel special and looked after at every meal. We didn't make use of the pool, etc. but we like sightseeing and there are a lot to see if you're prepared to drive. Among other things we went to Turtle View Donkey Refuge which made our day - highly recommended by us (we spent 2 hours petting and talking to the donkeys and owners!).

If you want to stay in a beautiful, tranquil, fantastic view, on the lake hotel where the reality is more beautiful than the pictures on the website, this is the place to go. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Love the place!!

We spent two nights at the Lodge in May and very much enjoyed ourselves. We were not golfing but had taken our bikes with us so did a bit of trail riding in the area. It is a great location right on Little Shuswap just a ten minute drive from Chase. The small fitness room is available for guests as is the indoor pool with hot tub. In the pool area they also have a great steam room which works really well. They were having a real problem with the guest keys to the pool and fitness rooms and I gather from the staff this has been an ongoing problem. No excuse for not resolving that issue as it was a real hassle. We walked around the golf course and it is fantastic set in the forest as well as along the lake with stunning views. There really is not too much else to do other than relaxing. I feel the resort should make sure they have lounge chairs on the lawn and at the beach beyond the few plastic chairs they had at the beach. It would be nice if they offered lawn games as well and maybe some cultural activities or guided walks, beach camp fires etc. Could get a bit boring beyond a day or two there. Restaurant is very good. There is a good size fridge in the room.

Room Tip: Jacuzzi suites are lakefront with larger balconies. Better views are looking towards the golf course not the courtyard.

This was our first time staying at the Quaaout Lodge. Reception greeted us with a friendly hello and smile. We stayed in a Jacuzzi (King size bedroom) I would highly recommend staying in one, if you want a lovely room, with a Jacuzzi , gas fire place, large balcony and a beautiful full view of the lake. The Jacuzzi even has a window right beside it, so one has a nice view of the lake or trees and sky. And of course a blind if you need privacy due to being on a lower floor.
There is a small bar fridge, and an average sized tv, comfortable bed, and a gas fire place. So nice we didn't want to leave our room. But we did for dinner...
We had a fabulous dinner at the restaurant located in the lobby area of the lodge. Very tasty food, and great service.
There is a small indoor pool, and hot tub on the lower level of the resort, along with a incredible piece of metal artwork done by a local artist.
You can golf, relax, take a stroll on the lake side private beach located at the back of the lodge. Maybe even go for a swim in the hot summer.
Play golf, or have a wonderful massage at their SPA.

All in all we had a wonderful 1 night stay. I would highly recommend this hotel, and we will be returning in the near future.

Room Tip: The Jacuzzi rooms are really nice 224 is good, but 225 is right next to an ice machine

We have always visited Quaaout Lodge & spa at the Talking. Rock Golf Resort for meals or a round of Golf. But this was the first time stay in the Resort. WE really enjoyed our stay and the rooms were excellent. Clean etc. The staff was polite and when we asked for something there was no problem at all. The resort is well kept. The food was excellent and if one stays there one must go too the Sunday brunch. It is excellent and has a good variety of food.

We had an excellent evening meal and the food was nicely presented and has a good selection of meals all with a cultural influence of the area.

I would also recommend if one is a golfer that they try the golf course. Is well kept and challenges all.
