We had a great holiday in North Face. Only a 5 minute walk from the slopes, and boot and locker room enroute. Lots of steps both in the chalet and the resort (it's built on the side of a mountain), but good to do a bit of exercise .... particularly after the nightly 5 course meals, which, I have to say, were incredible. The food was so good, and we were so well looked after by the chef Lois and host Jamie. It was a proper break. We had 6 kids between us so having kids supper sorted and beds made in the morning, the chalet cleaned etc was so lovely. Sainte Foy is a small resort, great for kids to learn to ski. The ski area is very small though - only 4 chair lifts in the resort, but there's lots of off piste. Premiere Neige were easy to deal with and always helpful.
Back to North Face after Grand Solliet last year. Yet again the staff could not have been more helpful. They even moved our luggage from the self catered apartment we rented the previous week, whilst we drove our daughter and grandson to the airport. Jamie and Lois were simply the perfect hosts and a great natural team. Always smiling, keen to ensure our stay was the best it could be and fabulous company. Lois is without doubt the best chef I've ever encountered in a catered chalet - Michelin star quality. She has the makings of a world class career ahead of her. Not only was each and every course beautifully and artistically presented, but it was so intense of flavour, unbelievably good and complimented the other courses. Incredible. To then have Jamie supplement the effect with carefully and very wisely selected wines, just added to the luxuriousness of the whole dining experience. Nothing was too much trouble. Quite extraordinary and yet the standard and quality was maintained all week, at every meal, and at each course. Full marks to Lois and Jamie. Full marks also to Premier Neige who yet again have gone above and beyond to ensure we had yet another amazing ski holiday.
We stayed at The North Face in january and it was very comfortable with fabulous food and we were looked after by Jamie and Lois superbly. Nothing was too much trouble for them and I fully reccommend staying there.Very short walk to the lift, nothing that even a lazy person like me wont do!.
Second time at Sainte Foy with Premiere Neige. Just booked our third for 2018. Had a perfect week in the North Face, looked after by Jamie and Lois. Perfect food, perfect service. They were both very welcoming to our three kids and made us all feel relaxed and at home. Clean, spacious accommodation and a great hot tub with mountain views. Hard to fault.
Some advice from having stayed in Sainte Foy previously - there is no pharmacy and it's impossible to buy paracetamol, throat sweets etc. Make sure you bring everything you need in that department. Also, there aren't that many choices of restaurant, so book well in advance if you want to head out for food during busy times.
What a fantastic place to stay! Stayed with Premier Neige before in this resort but in one of the larger chalets. This was just perfect, much more homely, and the girls looking after us were superb. Jamie and Lois were just the best ever- if we were ever thinking about something Jamie seemed to be one step ahead of us, and Lois' food? Well, what can I say. Some of the best meals I've ever tasted, lovely variety and more than enough. Despite skiing hard it was more of a challenge each morning to get the outfit back on! We didn't want to leave, and thought about stealing Jamie and Lois away with us. Will definitely be back.
Only slight drawback- a stand up shower in each bathroom please. Totally offset by the afternoon cake and lovely fellow guests though!
