Description: The Basil Leaf Thai & Sushi restaurant was established in June 16, 2011. We are the newest Thai & Sushi Restaurant in Winston Salem, NC. The two main reasons of starting this restaurant were to bring our family back together and serve fresh and healthy food. We would love to bring the balance of the four fundamental (sweet, sour, salty and spicy) tastes senses in each dish. All of our secret ingredients are from mom and sister. Our goal is to create new experience of Thai cuisine and Sushi to the community of Winton Salem. Please come joy us for new experience.

Ate here with family on a shopping trip. Good flavors and service. Girls enjoyed the sushi. Wife had the Pad Mamaung (Cashew Nut) and i had the Pad Prik Pow (Chili Paste). Both good flavors and portions.

Delicious food and very friendly and professional staff. We dined on the patio for date night- nice decor and clean surroundings. The Winston Roll is great!

The portions are large, the price is low, and the quality is very good. What more can you ask?

We enjoyed both the pad thai and the the Penang Pork. Lunch with leftovers for $20. Hard to beat.

My wife & I dined on crispy chicken and shrimp stir fry entrees. Both were excellent & tasted very fresh; good sized portions.. Service was quick and attentive. We will go back.

Our appetizer was a spicy sausage That is served with ginger lettuce and carrots. It was very tasty but we were surprised there is no dipping sauce. Entrées were soft shell crabs which were plentiful but my wife said they seemed bland and tasteless. From across the table they looked magnificent. My dish was soya noodles with chicken, with peanut sauce that was delicious. There are peanut sauces that taste like peanut butter, and they are sausages that are flavorful and exotic. This was in excellent sauce that was tasty and satisfying.
