On the plus side, our wait person was wonderful!; however, I don't think the first team was in the kitchen, which is unfortunate and rather disappointing, especially at those prices! Then again, it could have been an off night, but when Veal Marsala with a choice of pasta is $32, it should at least offer more than two small strips of veal, and not be smothered with mushrooms, drenched in mushroom sauce, and have zero Marsala detectable. My guest had the Sicilian Braciole at $28, unfortunately, it was so tough she could hardly cut through it, and it had to be returned. It was thoughtfully removed from our bill without any question, or prompting from us. She did find her house salad to be quite good.
We also had a bottle of wine from an interesting wine list, but here again is a restaurant greatly marking up their wines, which easily discourages buying a bottle.
The over-all atmosphere is clean and open, but appears even larger when only a few tables are occupied. In short, at these prices the first team needs to be there every night.
