We were looking a quiet romantic dinner for our anniversary. I had the Flounder Almandine, I asked for the sauce on the side and my husband the seafood platter. The price was moderate and the portions plentiful. The food was delicious the presentation was perfect and our waiter professional and attentive. We will recommend this cozy little place to all our friends!

While on vacation at Wrightsville Beach we discovered Boca Bay. Everything about this place is amazing. The location is very central and the ambience is soothing. We sat on the patio and with the massive water feature, you barely notice the traffic noise. Our server, David, was so polite and very attentive.
And now for the food...The menu is extensive, with everything from oysters on the half shell to mahi and filet. We ordered the Flounder Almondine and the fried seafood platter, both of which were excellent. The portions were substantial and flavors were exceptional. We enjoyed the full flavor of the food rather than the the breading. The wine list was adequate; prices were fair but selection only mediocre. The dessert menu, however, was extensive. They have a signature item, coconut sushi, but the amaretto cheesecake was to die for.
Overall it’s a fabulous place and all items were very affordable. We enjoyed salads, entrees, dessert and a bottle of wine for approximately $125.

We have been to Boca many times w/ mixed results . The covered outdoor patio seating is lovely with the wall & fountain to partially shelter diners from the traffic noise.
Our meals were pretty good this time but not remarkable. What was remarkable was that the 2 servers on the patio had no sense of social skills or seeming interest in being pleasant.

Our server was aloof & rushed ( there were only 2 tables of diners outdoors) & we could see & hear the very chilly interactions of a different server at an adjacent table waiting on a lovely family.

As the tone of the staff does a great deal in creating the “flavor” of a dining experience, this outing left us hungry. We’ll stick with the many other dining options available in the area. Boca could be a great place with a little warmth!

The seating is meh. The folks that work there are hit and miss too. Have been here twice. Once the service was barely passable and the other time the service was very good. The food is a bit on the pricey side for mid-range but their Prix-Fix menu is somewhat reasonable although needs a wee bit more choice when it comes to dessert. However, the food we had the last time was very good, hence the rating. Had the shrimp and scallops in alfredo sauce and the shrimp were succulent and very tasty as were the scallops. Others at the table had the fish and chips (told it was "done right" as the person demolished it all), shrimp and grits (also nary a grit left), and calamari (told it was good). Prior to the main meal came salads that were also very good. Healthy portions, well prepared and tasty with lettuce you wish to eat versus try to eat if you know what I mean when served a salad. Croutons were crispy and tasty as well which is when a salad goes from good to very good in my book. I will go back but have to generate the cash first as it is a step above Olive Garden and Carrabas and even above Docksides. From the food side, it is good. From the seating and overall ambience, meh, but the food will bring me back.
