Three of us took a boat from Topsail to try out The Sailfish Restaurant. It was very busy at 12:30p but we were lucky and found a quick spot to dock, assisted by two very helpful dock guys. Once we walked the pier to the front of the restaurant, we were told there would be about a 20 minute wait. We opted to sit at the bar, which has a great view of the inter-coastal waterway. The bar tender quickly brought our drink order, five minutes or less and had our food order in just as quick. The food arrived quickly. My grilled tuna sandwich was amazing with a wasabi aioli. The fries were hot and perfect. All three of us enjoyed our meals. If when they are this good when this busy, I can't wait to visit on a quiet week day.

This is a small local place, I like their fried shrimp and their burgers. This place is only open from Spring to Fall so call ahead. Nice to sit outside overlooking the water. Since I was last there I understand they have music on Thursday nights in their expanded seating area outside just off the marina parking lot. Nice bar and usually have several nice beers on tap. This is a small typical beach place with beer and fried food.

The view was outstanding but the food sucked. Bagged salad and frozen seafood in a waterfront restaurant. Not even good frozen seafood. $25.00 for 2 salads. Come on? Will not be returning for food ever again. The service and view were the only thing going for it

Staff was wonderful. The view is spectacular. Food was just not good and menu items were overpriced and the flies -- oh, the flies were everywhere on the outside deck. So disappointed.

We love a beer at Sailfish on a warm afternoon, but this is all you should spend your money on here. The menu is limited, unimaginative, overpriced, and inflexible. We live around the corner and consider the Sailfish a local haunt, but only for a drink and shady breeze. There are far too many good restaurants in Wilmington to waste your money here.
