If you are looking for great bite to eat, relax, and have a breathtaking view; you have found the place! We are local Ashevillians and come here a couple time throughout the year during the open season. They have wonderful food, great service, and do not forget the peach cobbler (if available)! There is even a small gift shop located just outside the restaurant. There is also a porch and other areas with rocking chairs to enjoy our amazing Blue Ridge Parkway and Pisgah National Forest!

Fantastic! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are delighted to receive such a great recommendation. Nothing like sitting in one of our rocking chairs with a nice cool breeze blowing over the ridge. We hope you will come back and visit soon.

We were married here and return to stay at the Inn annually. We love the Inn and visit the restaurant frequently. It is our favorite restaurant to take guests. The food is fabulous and the staff are the best ever! There is no bad menu item and trust me we have tried them all. Save room for dessert!

I was anxious to show my friend this view. I thought it had a sunset view, but the sun went down on the other side of the restaurant. I would have had a more pleasant dining experience if it hadn't started with the rudeness of the hostess named Hannah. You can't make reservations in attendance and I tht she had put me on the wait list when I asked if she had a space for us. I realized I hadn't given a name and she told me it wasn't only the wait list because I hadn't told her I wanted to eat there. Seriously, no one just happens by this restaurant. It took us almost an hour to get there, and of course I was there to eat! Anyway, the waiter, Jeremiah, more than made up for her curtness with his attentiveness. We enjoyed our meal there, thankfully. My partner had the duck and I had trout. I think Hannah needs to learn to be more gracious to the guests.

Most of what my crowd got was straight from the frozen food aisle (corn fritters, chicken fingers, BBQ sandwich). Another hot sandwich was served cold. The chicken pot pie was the favorite among the group. The view is the saving grace of this place. Unless you've prepared a picnic lunch, this is about your only option on this section of the parkway...and the food quality was about what you topically get as a captive audience. Wouldn't ever go back.

We are sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations on your recent visit. We appreciate all feedback in our efforts to continually improve our guests' experience. You are correct that the corn fritters and chicken tenders are frozen prior to serving, however, we do take great pride in offering a menu with a wide variety of fresh "made from scratch " ingredients. On your next visit please feel free to inquire about our house-made selections and we hope that we can exceed your expectations.
