The owner Joyce is very nice and helpful. The location is great, quite and peacefull.
Only one request the main living room by the dining room has a full sofa and love seat, remove the love seat and replace with two recliners. Especially for relaxing and for putting your feet up would be wonderful. Take it from a older adult it's needed..
We would rent A Shore Delight either way great place to stay in the Outer Banks of North Carolina
Shore Delight doesn't look all that large from the outside, but is spacious and welcoming inside. It's on a quiet street that is a two-minute drive to the closest beach, and is convenient to both Route 12 (toward Duck and Corolla) and Route 158 (to Kitty Hawk and Kill Devil Hills). Some of the features our family appreciated most were the air conditioning, outdoor shower, washer and dryer, dishwasher in a fully-appointed kitchen, and a large family room with plenty of board games for rainy days. Having linens available is a big plus, as well. In addition, there are many helpful instructions posted around the house.
The hosts really thought of everything to make their guests feel at home. We will definitely be back next summer!

Stayed at this nice home in early July 2015. It is a great spot! Clean home, lots of room despite its small size, well stocked and great location. Homeowner has available beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. so we didn't have to bring that with us. Quiet, local beach is within walking distance and the town of Duck, with all its restaurants and charm, is a short drive away. We will definitely stay here again.
Perfect for families with kids. Beautiful beach you can walk to. Close to nice restaurants and little shops in Duck. Supermarket nearby.
This is NOT a sterile rental, staying here was like being a guest in someones home. The house a nice outdoor space, yard, front porch and back deck. The first evening we were greeted by a pair of deers grazing in the yard.
Joyce the owner was wonderful and sent us an information packet providing us with every bit of information needed to make our stay as carefree as possible. We loved that this is a Friday check in and we were able to beat the beach traffic!
This cottage is very clean and spacious ( larger than it looks) and easily sleeps 8 although our party was only 3.
I have rented many homes and this home easily had the best stocked kitchen I have ever encountered. The bedrooms (we used the two queen rooms) were very comfortable and roomy. If you have a large party you will not have a shortage of bathrooms, there are three and a bonus outdoor shower.
My mother is elderly and found this house to be very accommodating to her needs; very few stairs and a walk in shower. There is an amazing den where we spent much of our time, it is huge and has plenty of comfortable seating and two large sofa's, chairs, tv, and stereo equipment.
We opted to drive rather than walk to the beach although walking is an option. The beach is very nice, not at all over crowded and very clean with a lifeguard in attendance. There was always plenty of parking spots and Joyce provided a parking pass.
Grocery shopping or eating out are both convenient to this location, you will not have a problem finding many options in this general area.
