Back for a stay after a couple of years since the last time. It was starting to show its age last time but now they are more prevelant. The rooms are spread out in “”lodges” of 5 plus rooms. All are independant but some have common areas if booking a group. Our room was downstairs and you could hear the folks upstairs moving around all night. AC/Heat extremely noisy. Furniture tired looking.
Note: there are no elevators if you can not climb stairs.
Still ok if you are there for a golf package but hope they upgrade soon.

Room Tip: Rooms next to the main building are best Get an upstairs room if you don’t want to hear people moving around above you but no elevators

The course was fantastic - in great condition, great weather with excellent service from all the staff from the golf shop to the course starter to the outside staff cleaning the club heads after the game. The amenities and club house are so rich in history.

This is one of my favorite courses down there - I only golfed here. It has crowned greens, great fairways, water etc... They did a huge renovation to the course I noticed and it looks great. You just can't just bomb away anymore - now you have to pick some spots on some holes. Just a great place to play golf in Pinehurst. Try the dinning room too - great food, service and staff.

Absolutely wonderful golf course. A pure Donald Ross Classic. A very cute/cozy club house that makes you feel like you at a throw back resort. Very nice and worth the cost. The bar is very attractive looking over the practice green and 18th finishing hole. The Course was recently upgraded (holding to the traditional Donald ross design)and is in great shape. We did no eat their, but played with two members that like the food very much. The pro shop is well equipped. Nice professional staff.

Stayed 4 nights to play golf and just relax. The rooms are, at best, "quaint" but super clean and comfortable. Only complaint I have is the room air conditioners - so loud! We asked to move rooms after I didn't sleep a wink the first night because the noise from the A/C was like a jet engine. Next room seemed quieter but definitely still a problem. Didn't help that it was extremely hot and humid during our stay so the A/C was definitely working non-stop.

Almost every staff member we encountered was extremely nice and accommodating. I strongly recommend dining and/or have drinks in the lobby bar. Landon and Darryl worked the bar and we found ourselves hanging out there for a few hours each night. Landon makes the best Moscow Mules on earth! Food was surprisingly good and upscale. We might have eaten dinner there more often had we realized that sooner.

Pro Shop staff was great. Course was really tough..I actually preferred play at Mid Pines across the street but that's likely cause every hole at Pine Needles has tons of sand traps and I think we found every one!

Definitely worth a return trip. I'm hopeful they will consider some renovations or upgrades which would make it even more appealing!
