This gem of a museum in Ararat follows the epic journey of the Chinese from Southern China to the goldfields of western Victoria.
Grant provided an interesting introduction to how the museum came to be, the significance of the design and construction. A 10 minute film explained the reasons why the Chinese made such a perilous journey, the difficulties and their successes. The museum can be explored at leisure with interesting exhibits. There is a little souvenir and gift shop at the entrance.
